personally i dont really like the royal doulton figurine!
well thats my 2 pence worth!:o :rotfl:
Oooh glad it's not just me thenI must say I actually prefer unglazed figurines as the glazed ones always look like they've been dipped in goo..... To be quite honest I can only see a couple of my customers perhaps going for it..... Bring back the decanters with perfume in I say!
I loved them!!! (mind you I was only about 8 at the time :rotfl: ) Oh and I hope we have a nicer calendar as well - I found this year's very difficult to read.
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -
Hi
Please can someone point me to the number for recruitment at Avon, I have been waiting almost 4 weeks now since I completed the online application to be a distributor (if thats what they known as) but despite receiving the catalogue and welcome letter by post I still have not had a call from my local area manager (if thats what they called).
Maybe somebody could pm me the details if they cant be broadcast on here.
Many thanks.

Seriously now, we sell figurines?!
Anyways, what do people think about paying for a second starter kit? I tried to get a replacement for my starter bag as it broke the first time I used it. They've sent out a whole new set (bag and box) and billed me £10 for it.
It's got a full size Christian Lacroix in it, which is being promoted in camp 14 for £14 according to HT 14. There's also a glazewear lip gloss and 30 samples as well as a pack of medium bags.
Should I just keep it and pay the £10? I'm in two minds.
Also, my AM said she can't do anything about the territory issue so suggested I canvass the town centre. I was really nervous, especially as it's such a small town, but everyone who was offered a brochure took one bar the two places that already have an Avon lady. I wish I'd taken more than 8 brochures up town with me now.
Does anyone else do shops? If so, do you get many orders?0 -
0845 345 8444 this is the only number i have for Avon. If you give them a ring and its not the right one then they can always give you the right one!
I drop a couple of books off at the local shop and post office and every month ive had orders. Not from customers but from the staff.
Does anyone live near dishforth in yorkshire as im moving upto there in december and want to know if i can carry on my little empire up there!!!0 -

Hm depends on whether you think you can shift the perfume or not I guess. I don't do any shops (far too lazy) but that sounds like a good start. Even if only half the places give you orders it's four places your didn't have orders from last week! I might ask my hairdressers next time but I'm sure I've seen an avon lady in there (but it was a while ago). Might give the local undertakers a miss though (can't see a demand for lippy in there.....:rotfl: ). Hmm you've started me thinking now, wonder if I could get a brochure to the local postie...... we were having a good ol natter today about the length of her round so surely she'll need some foot stuff

I Was just wondering how this works, what did you do just take them into local shops and ask if they wanted a brochure? what sort of places did you go into?0 -

I firstly gave one to the specific place that had asked for one so that I could then say to the others "I'm doing Avon for some businesses in the town, would you like to have a brochure?" with my head held high lol. I went in with the attitude of "I was wondering if you'd like my assistance" rather than "can I flog my Avon to your staff" if you know what I mean.
I chose places where the staff appear to be casual, the environment is a bit relaxed and they don't sell any toiletries or beauty items. So a few clothes shops, a card shop, the doctors, a newsagents and a couple of shoe shops.
The only 2 places to refuse were places that already have an Avon lady which suprised me. In fact I think I'll canvass a few more shops next time!
Like RIE says - if I get just a couple of orders that's a couple I didn't have last time. I have to go into town for my little one's playgroup three times a week anyway so it's no special trip for me.
Also, it's 8 shops remember - who knows how many customers that could mean?! I've jinxed myself typing that though haven't I? B***er.0 -
Well inspired by all of this chatter about business I have decided to do the unthinkable and CLEAR OUT MY AVON HOARDING CUPBOARD! In fact I was very surprised to see just how far back it went - it's like a tardis in there:rotfl: . Unfortunately I did not find Captain Jack in there
Anyway as a lot of the stuff is now discontinued onto e-bay it has gone! Mr Rage is very pleased  (Daren't tell him that all the jigsaws I have bought can go in there - this rain is not doing me any good as I'm wanting to buy jigsaws and play boardgames and sit there with a candle to save of the leccy!:rotfl: )....

mind u i did buy myself a few things that i'd normally buy anyway for 3 times the price so i spose i've still made something in saving!0 -
