  • Hi,

First off, i have read tonnes of stuff about Avon and this site is by far the best!!

I started last money and put in my first order of about £250 so was really pleased. However this month it has been really hard because i think the novelty has worn off with friends. Ive taken a few orders from my office and 2 from my building (i live in appartments) but it's still only on about £100.

I was thinking about doing an Avon party but could someone tell me who much i can expect to take from one. There have been a few comments on here but im still not sure. Is it worth it after you have bought a few little prizes and a goodie bag for the host?

    Help :o xxx

  • Just realised I meant to say "last month" not "last money".

As you can see, money is on my mind abit! hehe

Please do let me know if you have had any success (or not) with an Avon party as Im being made redundant soon so will be losing a lot of my office customers :-(

    xx

    Ok I'm in.
My ASM called round today and set me up.
I have 3 roads to start with and my books are ready to go with an insert giving extra details such as my email and mob number for orders in case they miss me.
Can anyone pass on some more tips for increasing sales??
    Wish me luck

LiverpoolLouise - ask your sales leader or ASM for more territory if you're not getting enough orders from friends and family.

I put a 10% discount offer in my first campaign, anybody who placed an order of £15 or more qualified. I got quite a few orders (over £300) but not sure if it was because of that or not because my other two orders have been higher but it's always nice to do little incentives and promotions.

Had my first AVON party last night for some friends. I did 10% of book orders + the raffle and bingo for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The average book order was about £15. I spent £10 on refreshments - just a couple of bottles of wine, juices, diet coke, crisps and pretzels, and about £15 on clearance items for prizes and for a bargain sale and about £7 on three demo products. Made £27 on the bargain sale and sold nearly everything so that's something to do again. Will buy more clearance items next time as I think I would have sold more had I had more.

  • Hayley11- I like the sound of your 10% idea- might try that for the next camp. I have quite a lot of houses (well flats!) but i think the prob is i live in the city centre so its very easy just to nip to boots and pick up your cosmetics. Im hoping that the 10% idea might provide a bit more incentive for people.

Winewhisky- Great news on the Avon Party! My fiance's dad gave me an old pasting table the other day and i have some nice material to put over it so i cant wait to get my HT goodies delivered and display them for a party.

Qu- In the HT mag, are the sale things at the back things that will be discontinued from now on? Ive seen the white choc bubble bath and think that would appeal to friends so not sure whether to buy quite a few bottles to save disappointment if it wont be in the avon book again.

Ive only been doing Avon 2 camps but i think im becoming quite obsessed!!

    ooh good luck, Annie,
i've just got my roads allocated and am going to go delivering this afternoon. I;m a bit nervous that i'll get no one that;s even vaguely interested.
but i can only do my best -
I have however had a couple of people at work ask me for a book, so that's given me a bit of hope:)
