Also are Cahoot customers eligible for the 3.5% Loyalty bonus ISA?
Have any Cahoot customers got this? I've been told both yes and no by Santander.0 -

Has anyone else been having trouble moving their ISA away from Santander? They don't seem to be very willing in letting me leave...
Personally, they were instructed (on my ISA transfer form) to transfer mine to Halifax on 6th April and the funds appeared in my Halifax ISA account on 14th April.0 -

I opened a Halifax Reward ISA in the branch on 11 April and handed over the transfer form at the same time.
I've just logged on to my A&L / Santander account and noticed the transferred ISA was closed on 20 April. Whilst the funds have yet to show in my Halifax a/c I'm not concerned as they have promised interest is payable from the date the ISA was opened.
So 7 working days doesn't seem too bad.Cheers,
Ray.

Hello,
I should know better as I have been reading this thread for years but...here goes... I've read people discussing transferring previous issue of Halifax ISA Direct Reward into the new issue but can't remember what was said.
A friend has an Issue 2 with a maturity date of 22nd June, I believe this is at 2.6%, can they transfer this into the current Issue 3 without an interest penalty? Not sure why it has a maturity date as it's not fixed rate as far as I can see.0 -

Yes, they can either redesignate to the new issue online (link here) or by ringing up Halifax and asking over the 'phone. The current issue is 4.

Many thanks 10_66. I've just found the other thread specifically about the Halifax reward ISA so that helped to clarify too.0 -
Hi,
First post, searched the site and couldnt find anything that could answer my question.
Im leaving to go travelling at the end of September and have been saving in my normal current account, i want to switch to either a savings account or a Cash ISA. Which would be more beneficial for me, due to the short amount of time left to get the most out of the money saved?
So far i have £2000, but by the mid September should and hope to be around the £5000 mark.
If anyone can help, it'll be greatly appreciated.0 -
Having had no luck getting anyone at HMRC can I ask if anyone can clarify the regulations for ISAs please?
I was considering transferring my existing cash ISA into a 5 year 5% fixed rate. I've so far only used £1040 of this year's allowance which I have just paid into my existing Santander ISA. The fixed rate isa is set to close shortly after which no further payments in are allowed. However, I'm being told that I can't open a new cash ISA to use up my unused allowance of £4300 this year as you're not allowed to pay into two different isa in one year. Is this correct? It seems somewhat unfair if the transfer-in isa is closed.0 -

1. Deposit £4,300 into Santander ISA.
2. Transfer.0
