TiVo_Lad said:Well Chorley BS don't seem to have done a very good job of it so far. I logged into their Online Service this morning to see my account listed, as well as an account belonging to someone else! Not related, completely different name. I can even see their full address. How's that for a GDPR breach.

Min balance of £500
Can be opened and managed online, by branch or by post. However withdrawals can not be made online.
So, can you request a w/d online - like 'secure message' or is it branch and post only.
Not sure what 'manage online' means if you can't make a w/d?
From the website:What facilities does the Chorley Online system provide? It's similar to the SRBS regular saver in this respect. It provides you with access via our website to a summary of your accounts with the Chorley Building Society. Details of your savings and mortgage accounts can be seen together with recent transactions.
A secure messaging facility within Chorley Online means that you can communicate with us electronically whilst knowing that any information you send is securely transmitted over the internet.
As our system develops, we intend to provide additional facilities such as allowing online withdrawals and the facility to open new accounts

For anyone, like me, who already has a Tesco Internet Saver, the underlying rate (without the bonus) has increased from 0.35% to 0.5% from 6th December. I received an email from them about the change today.
So, if you already have a Tesco Internet Saver, the effective interest rate has increased by 0.15%.4 -

Some YBS rates go up today (9th December) - Loyalty Six Access eSaver to 3.0% for example.2

Yes, there is 3 new YBS higher rates EA acs available, wef from today, listed in the ToTP ranked by rate EA listing (or click in the signature box.)
I'd have given YBS a bigger fanfare for gaining top spot but its top rate is a Loyalty & requires 12 month continuous membership.
Its 2nd best though is still pretty good, but the 'blended' overall rate,3.0% to £5k, 2.5% above, will depend on how much is on deposit.4 -

So, if you already have a Tesco Internet Saver, the effective interest rate has increased by 0.15%.No, as @isasmurf says they have increased the standard rate so all existing account holders benefit automaticallyIf you took the old 2.36% issue you now get 2.51% (2.01% +0.50%) but they have reduced the bonus on the current issue to 1.86% so only 2.36% for new accountsDon't worry, they will increase the bonus within a few weeks and you will have to open a new account4 -
Just had an email from paragon telling me that their triple access account pays 3% as of today.4
