    Hi rate chasers,

Is the easy access rate chasing still worthwhile in the end or better to accept marginally lower rates for periods and move when it actually makes sense with significant movements of at least 0.5%?
I think it's not worth the effort to chase small rate increases, so agree with what you say here - wait until it's worth it! Also, when the base rate changes I am happy to wait a couple of weeks for the rates to settle down.

You can add Shawbrook and Coventry BS to the next day list as well.
Shawbrook definitely, but not Coventry.  With Coventry, the withdrawal arrives on the next working day, but is dated that day, so you don't lose a day's interest.

    Santander is truly instant 24/7

Ford Money must be among the slowest.

For example, a transfer out request on a Friday morning will not reach its destination until the end of business on the following Monday (and the transfer still dated Friday).

I'm new, but as previously discussed, difficulties accessing accounts are part of this thread, are they not?
Difficulties accessing due to banks procedures or genuine technical reasons which could affect us all then yes, difficulties accessing due to fat fingers and not being able to use a mobile phone keyboard then no…in my opinion
  • I gave up on Al Rayan account. I have an older Samsung and neither of their apps seem compatible, and using via browser it just crashes.

Opened an account with Gatehouse and can't get logged in via the App either. Got in via browser and have transferred over £1 but it hasn't updated balance yet. It seems the account number and sort code isn't unique to the account holder, just their reference, which perhaps slows process down? My surname was part of initial reference given but I couldn't fit it in when transferring from Nationwide. Hopefully Tandem, Zopa or Atom increase rates soon, far smoother process.

I have Gatehouse easy access account and have never had a problem. Sort Code and account number are general relating to a holding account with the reference being your personal account number (you don't need the three letters at the end. I have transferred from my Nationwide account and when setting up the initial transfer the bank name is Gatehouse Bank PLC. Transfers either way not instant but I keep a 'float' in a FlexInstant account for immediate transfers to top up my FlexDirect Account

Still no Santander login details in the post 2 weeks later. Hilariously !!!!!!, good riddance and thankfully several easy access banks now beat them.
