Can't send my initial deposit to Gatehouse since my reference is too long.

    Excellent!
Can you log into your account? It gives you a different, shorter Reference.

That's me logged in. Where would I be able to find the shorter reference?

    Thanks for the help :)

If the Reference is like mine .... 9 digits followed by your surname .... you can leave the surname out Gatehouse CS said.

Have a look at my post 'Gatehouse?' and the responses I got there  ...... particularly from Noh

If you log in to the app (rather than online banking....) there is a 'pay in ' option with all the account details you need  - reference is your EA account number with 3 characters of surname appended ....

    Even your Avatar looks happy/thankful!

Do you think he's answering the question "how big a state is the British economy in?"...with... "this big!" 😹

Just my opinion, no offence 🐈

No problem logging in to Gatehouse as a brand-new customer this morning (thanks to Expotter's heads-up) ... it was one of the quickest easiest applications I have done recently. Got the account and reference numbers straight away and User ID by email 15 mins later. Just about to fund it now as I have online access to check when funds arrive, fits the bill exactly for what I was after!
There is a cut off time for same day withdrawals. 2pm I think, but can't immediately find that in T's&C's.
    Yes it will be 2pm.
I set up an account this morning and notice that the back end is the same as Ford Money. The same Barclays sort code is used for both and the user IDs are in the same format and the app is almost identical just with different branding.
Ford FAQs state 2pm as cut off for withdrawals.

And payments in cut off time for same day receipt is 1pm.
Just spoken to Gatehouse CS. They confirmed:
2pm is the cut off time for same day withdrawals.
The 1pm cut off for receipt is for the transaction to show on your account. If received latter, then although the transaction date would show as the next business day, the account will also show the date posted (to the account). Interest accrues from the date posted.
  • Al Rayan showing for me as 2.81% this afternoon. Did I miss that here today?

    Edit: website updated too.
