Maybe, but they might not be trying to attract customers that are going to jump on every interest rate hike

History tells me that they will as they have consistently been at/equal to the top for the past few years.

I'll be sticking to Santander now I've opened it. I like to use an app and I like monthly interest, so the Santander option is still best for me compared to Cynergy.

It will be interesting to see how things go from here.  Maybe I was indeed wrong yesterday when i predicted we wouldn't see 3% accounts yet by the end of the year, looks like many banks will have to jump up now to compete again.

I can guarantee Santander won’t be increasing your rate, Cynergy have been doing so of late. I think the Santander rate drops to 0.20% after 12 months?
