By inference I am now free to "chat" on this thread. Okay, not really chat but something others may find useful.

The Virgin Money easy access Exclusive ISA is paying 2.25% pa with interest paid annually at the end of December. It does require the VM current account but many will already have this.

This is my go to easy access account now as it is a flexible ISA. I have £10k allowable from a previous year so technically I could have up to £30k.

However, I currently am holding back on this year's £20k in case something else comes up.
I also have this exclusive VM easy access ISA and am very grateful to be able to have it at the moment. However, if before the end of this tax year Virgin Money release a Fixed Rate ISA that has a high enough interest rate over the right length of time to seriously interest me in saving into it, will it be possible for me to transfer the whole of my easy access ISA money into this replacement Fixed Rate ISA please? Also does anyone know whether, if this is allowed, the easy access ISA is closed as part of the internal transfer or whether it remains open with a zero balance please?
You may get better answers to your ISA transfer question on the ISA board.

VM are a bit of a pain though with all of their ISAs apart from this one being on a different website.
  • Anyone know if YBS (Loyalty 6 Access) credit deposits on a weekend ?
All of my payments have credited on 1st of a month regardless of whether it is a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday.
Thanks, but is that for the new Loyalty 6 Access saver that's only been available for a couple of weeks or another a/c, not that I'd expect them to have different crediting rules for different a/c.
No. It is for e-saver and X-mas RS accounts, but I would expect them to be the same.

Thanks again, it's just that I have a large amount becoming available in Zopa tomorrow which I'm going to transfer to YBS

I did wonder if the point of the Smart Saver was to be competitive up to a point then once people have boosted their pots they can't get it out and switch cos of the notice period.

Removed most of my Zopa funds today, very disappointing as I like the app and notice pots. I'm sure plenty will remain with Zopa, there are still a lot of folk happily waiting on Chase....

Well I haven't received my £5 reward for October yet. This is even more odd given I didn't open the saver yet.
It'll just be a matter of timing. Have you recently joined the Blue Reward scheme and if so, have the required 2 direct debits come out since you joined ? The £800 payment in may also be required in that time-frame too.

I rejoined the Blue Reward scheme last Friday (30th Sept) and opened a Rainy Day Saver the same day. I have a load of DDs that come out on the 1st. The £5 Blue Rewards fee was taken on Weds 5th Oct and the £5 DD reward payment was credited the same day, so that is proof that the £5 Blue Rewards fee is still cancelled out provided you meet the criteria. Having a Rainy Day Saver does not affect this.
I've had a blue rewards account for years and this is the only time I haven't received the reward. I contacted Barclays and they say it's a technical issue. I guess it's only affecting certain customers. Maybe it's due to an influx of new accounts.

Just in case you hadn't seen this message thats on YBS site:

Payments to your savings accounts: Saturday 8th October

Payments between 5pm and 9pm on Saturday 8th October won't appear in your account(s), or be available to withdraw, until just after 9pm.
Please keep this in mind if you set up payments to or from your account(s). We're sorry for any bother

I’ve only made 3 or 4 withdrawals, all were made a.m and,as I remember, all were received within a few minutes. HTH
