I mentioned on the fixed thread that it seems to have gone quiet or everyone is holding back increasing rates. Shawbrook dropped to 1.81% the other day , I thought by now 2% was a possibility.0

Next BOE interest rate meeting on the 15th, so I'm sure we'll see some more activity on this front in the next couple of weeks since that's widely expected to be at least a 0.5% increase.Pompeydave1967 said:I mentioned on the fixed thread that it seems to have gone quiet or everyone is holding back increasing rates. Gatehouse and Al Rayan have been offering 2%+ for at least a week.Pompeydave1967 said:I mentioned on the fixed thread that it seems to have gone quiet or everyone is holding back increasing rates. Shawbrook dropped to 1.81% the other day , I thought by now 2% was a possibility.1 -
Is there a reason why the Gatehouse Bank account is no longer listed on MSE's savings accounts page? It still lists Al Rayan (in the non-standard savings section) but not Gatehouse. Still available according Gatehouse's website?0

Re Al Rayan; I was looking at the notifications options in the app, and one of them is to receive an alert for "deposit received for FIT Account". I'm probably having a senior moment, but what is a FIT account, please? I've tried searching their website and can't see any reference to it.0

Thanks for reply soulsaver, I did consider that's what it meant, but as Al Rayan are clear to state that the rates they offer are profit, rather than interest, I didn't think they would call one of their accounts fixed interest.soulsaver said:
