at the excitement of the 2.1% rate, I just managed to get access to my Al Rayan account blocked... I had to call their 0800 number... it took 45 mins to speak to someone and a couple of minutes to get through the security checks... all good now.pity they play the same one track whilst waiting - it's going to be in my head all day now.also, in case nobody mentions it, profit/interest is paid on the last day of the month (had mine yesterday).0

Thanks all for the info re: monthly "profit"If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0

You've got to hand it to Al Rayan, they're the quickest to react when their rate is beaten. Very impressed.:grouphug:

Tesco Internet SaverA friend of a friend of a friend has had their Internet Saver account application blocked on the basis they already had six savings accounts (of various types) and six is the maximum number you can hold at any one time.Note, not six Internet Saver accounts as per the T&C's/website, but six savings accounts in total.Anyone with six accounts already may want to close one, or at least check with Tesco Bank, before spending time applying for a new Internet Saver, even if they have 5 or fewer IS accounts.1
