Got excited today…saw there were 89 new posts since I last looked two days ago and thought there must be some great new rates announced. Disappointed to see about 80 of those posts were just about rates on various Cynergy accounts or something…skipped over most of it. Hope I didn’t miss a nugget buried in there somewhere 😀km1500 said:Don't suppose there is a chance of having a 'nochat' version of this thread (as well as keeping this one of course)18 -

It's a shame every time you have to open a new account & transfer your funds over; I'd only just done that with their issue 26, if only they'd just raise the interest rate on all accounts, but I suppose they're trying to attract new money & happy to leave savers in existing accounts languishing.SJMALBA said:Charter Savings Bank EA Issue 27 - 1.75% (5k min.)Indeed, but they're not alone in doing it that way, and opening a new account & transferring seems quite simple, from my past experience.0 -

veryintrigued, how long did it take for your funds to be received into Cynergy, please? Although long time account holder with them, I didn't have a recent payment set up with my sending bank (due to their constant new accounts), so set up a new payment today. Usually, I've found payments go through quite quickly, but nothing's been received yet.veryintrigued said:Cynergy
Can someone reminde.how long funds take to show on these accounts.
Currently waiting for three hours for a slightly less than £10k from Nationwide

@refluxer The advantage of having a 'nochat' thread (as opposed to moneyfacts) is that you are able ti subscribe and get push notifications of updates as opposed to forever going to mf to check.
Just looked at last 5 pages - 10 posts per page - amount of rate information to chat:
p682 2/8
p683 1/9
p684 0/10
p685 1/9
p686 0/10
Chat is fine and I like reading it but would like a nochat version to subscribe to. Anyway, not up to me is it!

What might be a good idea is starting a new thread with the top ten on page 1. This way we can always get to it quickly.
I spend ages trying to locate the latest version.
As to the chat, I cannot see it changing and I believe most people like it.
PS Obviously a nod towards @Special_Saver2 and their legendary regular saver thread.
PS 2 All hail, @soulsaver too!

Isn't the whole point of Soulsaver keeping a table up to date, means you can skip the discussion if you want to and just go straight to the table instead? The thread title does say "The Top Easy Access Savings Discussion Area" .... and there certainly has been some discussion on herekm1500 said:@refluxer The advantage of having a 'nochat' thread (as opposed to moneyfacts) is that you are able ti subscribe and get push notifications of updates as opposed to forever going to mf to check.

I've currently got a Coventry BS Limited Access Saver which allows 6 penalty-free withdrawals a year and is currently paying 1.5%. On 1 September that's due to increase to 1.85%. It will then be one of my best interest paying accounts, however I'm not sure if it's still available to new takers.Bridlington1 said:Principality's Online Double Access Issue 2 account is now paying 1.65% variable for balances of £1-£1,000,000.

Perhaps worth noting that this thread was intended to be a discussion of the MSE savings article, and hence the first post:Bobblehat said:

This thread is specifically to discuss the Easy Access Savings articleand it's the 'official' thread linked from that guide, so yes, a separate thread in the same style as the one managed by @Special_Saver2 may be appropriate to maintain a list of top easy access accounts (which is effectively competing with MSE's own version)....3 -
It is no longer available, and I don't see how it's helpful to publicise accounts that are no longer available.Molehusband said:
