It's still possible to say with them and keep using the card to get cashback - it's quick to transfer in enough to cover regular spend. Their 1.5% rate was great when the others were under 1% but this is an instant access account. Many others haven't responded to the BoE rate change either yet but another week or two is enough time to increase rates.

bit disappointed in chase not keeping up with the competition, 1% cash back and round up reason I was staying with them.
You and everyone else, I suspect. That's certainly the case for me at least. Currently moving money out of the Saver but happy to keep it open and return, should the rate increase.
  • Have to remember that Chase aren't in the UK to capture the savings market. They are here to gain current a/c customers and their package of a 1.5% Saver, 5% Round up and 1% cashback is still a good overall deal for most consumers. I would never expect them to increase those rates.
The regular forum members here are akin to the elite of Rate tarts when comes to savings accounts and certainly not your everyday customer.

Does anyone know how Gatehouse Bank are in terms of their 1.8% Easy Access account? - How quick it is for deposits/withdrawals and do they up their existing interest rates or just bring out a new issue ?

    Thanks in advance

IIRC before 13.00 FP 'in', allocated by close same day. W/d is bit later 14.00 ? for same day IIRC - it's in their faqs somewhere.

Thank you - I appreciate that.  I'll just have to make sure I do it before the cut-offs to avoid losing interest, and certainly avoid weekends.

    Thanks again

I was hoping to see 1.75 / 1.8 % on my chase app this morning but no luck. Love the app etc but could do with higher rate .
I just pulled nearly all my money out of Chase.
To everyone hoping/wanting Chase to raise rates: this is what you need to do. There is no incentive for Chase to raise their rates if people don't move their capital away once the rates are uncompetitive.
I asked Chase CS to ask them if they plan to raise rates and the reply back was they are not linking the accounts interest rate with the BofE bank rate. So no. I replied that they will find I and everyone else will mass withdraw all their money so it's fine by me if they don't want our money anymore.
