Now we get to find out if Chase will respond. When the 1.5% launched it was way out in front. I wonder if they'll do an aggressive hike to 2%, or if the 1% cashback on the current account is enough to keep customers. I've already moved most of my savings away from Chase, but being able to run DDs and standing orders from the savings accounts is a very attractive feature.

Presumably,  most will be holding off until next week's MPC meeting?

Yorkshire BS have increased their Internet Saver Plus (issue 11) interest rate to 1.60% (on £50K+), 1.55% (£10K+) and 1.25% (£1 - £9,999).

I'm keeping my Chase account for the long term.  Just got back from the USA.  No fee to withdraw cash from Chase ATMs.  Perfect exchange rate.  (And of course 1pc cash back, but that is short term).

I'm happy to keep some savings with Chase and lose 0.2pc.  It's a great feeder for Regular Savings Accounts.

Moved the majority of my savings to zopa and give notice immediately on my 30/95 pots a month ago.

I like Chase, its worked flawlessly for me, I know others have had issues. Let's hope they remain competitive, as I'll have to withdraw the lot if they don't.

I've just noticed YBS have now launched an online only version of their Family Savings Account called the Family eSavings Account. It is almost identical to the Family savings account but with a couple of minor differences:
-It can be opened by anyone aged 16 or over (11 or over for the Family Savings Account)
-You can open and manage the account online only
-The Family e-Savings Account can not be opened in trust

All other details are the same from what I can see.
