i'd second the recommendations for Oaknorth, Zopa and Gatehouse... only reason I wouldn't invest more in the first two is that it would take me far beyond the fscs limits - I don't mind going beyond it to a degree (in some ways I have no choice as some accounts are maxed out for another year plus... so if they go bust, i'd just lose the interest gained), but for that issue, i'd be really tempted by the Oaknorth notice account.

btw - unless i'm missing something, Tesco is still showing 1.38% on Moneyfacts to me... perhaps Tesco put on an embargoed press release for tomorrow and MF jumped the gun?

With a possible chance of a 0.5 increase in August where would people expect the top easy access rates to go to in the coming weeks if  they do go for the 0.5% increase - above 1.75% ?

All providers should be applying the increases automatically the way rates at changing at the moment.

It looks like Tesco Bank might have changed their minds about launching an Internet Saver at 1.43%.  I first saw it advertised at that rate on Moneyfacts during the early hours of the 21st July, but by late morning they had removed the listing (@1.43%). 

We'll have to keep in eye on it.  Though there are other providers paying higher rates at the moment.

Shawbrook Bank Simple Saver, via Moneybox, is now 1.40% wef today, 22 July. No minimum, unlike the one in the list that's direct with Shawbrook.

@soulsaver - FYI Shawbrook EA listed twice in the list on p625, once at the current 1.52% rate and again at the old 1.40% (unless this second entry is in reference to @wiseonesomeofthetime recent Moneybox post - and if so, the minimum of £1k listed would be wrong).
