I asked them the same question and they you could do that. As for whether those funds become available at the end of the same notice period I am not sureExpotter said:Regarding the Zopa smart saver account, does anyone know if it's possible to add funds to an already existing boosted pot after you've given notice on it, say for instance 30 days into a 95 day notice? My instincts would say No, but it did allow me to move more money into it 3 days after giving notice without changing the date when funds are accessible, so I'm not sure.0 -
Well you can... because I have. And I told them I was doing it and they didn't reply about what would happen at maturity.
Maybe they haven't thought about it?
I believe that the notice is at the 'pot' level because AIUI, the boosted pot reverts to an 'access' at maturity.
So if at the funds therein level, presumably they'd have to create another pot for the unqualified balance?
Anyway, I'll know for sure on the 7th... when notice on the pot in question is up.
As Arnie said... I'll be back.

It'll be interesting to find out, as it would mean you could effectively turn some of your pot into a shorter notice period and still get the higher rate... Hmmm, could they really possibly have overlooked it? Unlikely I'd say, but please let us know either way1 -
With a conventional notice savings account you would give notice to withdraw a specified sum of money (meaning that the account can stay open if you don't want to withdraw the entire balance), so do the Zopa 'boosted' pots work differently ? Are you giving notice at which the boosted rate should end instead, at which point it returns to the normal (un-boosted) rate ?0

Hi....apologies for posting on this thread but thought you keen lot may have some awareness / comments.
Opened a Gatehouse Easy Access account on 26 May, but I am still waiting for the letter to provide my login details. I needed to send in some identity documents, so this is likely to have delayed things for a week/two maybe (identify was verified over two weeks ago), but is anyone else experiencing considerable delays in opening accounts with Gatehouse?
EDIT: Just for completeness, communications with GH simply say they are busy with applications.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True
