Someone might have said on here already, but you could keep one of the older Cynergy accounts open (only transfer the money out) and keep using that as the payee from your current account.murphydavid said:Glad you said that. I was naively thinking that my existing Cynergy account rate had gone up to 1.1% but no it is/was still stuck at 0.7%. No loyalty goes unpunished. New account - transfer done. Its a bit annoying that I now have to set up a new payee in my current account and test it with a small amount to make sure I don't do a typo. etc.
Its a little bit extra effort as 2 transfers (current -> old cynergy, then old cynergy - new cynergy), but also ensures less mistakes in entering payee details, and probably less fraud flag scoring.0 -
Why ?.UncleK said:And from Ford Money "I can confirm the current interest rate is 0.73% on the Flexible Saver product. We review our interest rates regularly and will contact you regarding any interest rate changes to your product." Not encouraging............
Chase offers 1.5% Tanden 1.1%. Closed my Ford money yesterday.0 -

If base rate increases to 1 percent in May. Could we see 2 percent easy access accounts? Not sure how this works
I do remember having a 2.8 percent account with NatWest in 2015 when the base rate was 0.5 but I believe that was a one off0 -
I daresay there will be another rush to increase savings rates, but the resulting actual best rates are hard to predict. The only thing which is reasonably certain will be Cynergy's new issues. They might then start having new accounts opening several times a week, giving us barely enough time to upgrade before the next issue arrives. I wonder if they might run out of account numbers to give customers?mlc2009 said:If base rate increases to 1 percent in May. Could we see 2 percent easy access accounts? Not sure how this works

I can confirm the Tandem account is 1.10% now. It is also paid monthly and is compounded. Never had any issues with them and transfer times are done on a faster payments service so never more than couple of hours (in or out). Must be linked to a full uk current account.
NatWest offering digital instant access saver (existing customers I think) 3.25% on first £1,000. Max deposit is £50pm.If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.
Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £55,050)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
Creation Credit Sale 0% x 1 = £112.50pm x 20 mths
0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
Mortgage Outstanding - £137,707.00 (Payment 13/360)
Total Debt = £7,400 (0%APR) @ £100pm - Stoozing0 -
It's max £150 a month now, plus any round-ups if that tickles your fancy.MrFrugalFever said:

What bit of logging in to the NatWest app and selecting transfer from your savings account to current account and moving the money instantly IS NOT easy access?RG2015 said:
You may be able to withdraw what you want at any time, but you can only deposit a limited amount in a month. By the way, this has recently been increased to £150 per month.MrFrugalFever said:I can confirm the Tandem account is 1.10% now. It is also paid monthly and is compounded. Therefore, it is not really an easy access account for this thread. If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.
