About +/- 30 mins in my experience. Certainly not immediately, but generally quite quickly.0

Thank you. Just made my first payment and thinking my bank might flag it up for fraud checks - they are usually too eager with that. I'll give it 30 mins or so and see what happens.masca said:About +/- 30 mins in my experience. Certainly not immediately, but generally quite quickly.

Nationwide Building Society have sent me a SavingsWatch email this evening advising me that rates on some savings accounts, including ISAs, are increasing for new accounts opened from 17th March 2022.
The only limited access accounts* receiving an increase are a 1 Year Triple Access Online ISA and Online Saver paying 0.70%.
It would appear no other savings accounts in their range are going to receive an increase at the moment.
* if you make more than 3 withdrawals in the year, the rate drops to a paltry 0.01%.
All the other new accounts are fixed rates but nothing to shout about 🤷🏻♂️
N.B. It states in the email “If you already have a Triple Access savings account, your interest rate will stay the same. However, there’s nothing to stop you opening another if you’d like to benefit from the new rate.”

Nationwide should be ashamed of their abysmal savings rates.7

Adverts like this, you mean? Nationwide aren't who they used to be, but are who they used to boast about not being.leaphaze said:
Yes, they should spend less on their adverts and more on their members.Daliah said:Nationwide should be ashamed of their abysmal savings rates.

Why? They still have a very competitive 2.5% regular saver and currently have a £125 switching bonus for members.murphydavid said:Vote with your feet.

They also have the start to save regular saver account at a decent 1.25%.
All banks are rubbish at times but it doesn't stop me opening their accounts with good rates or features..1
