There is no "Vantage account" strictly speaking, and never has been. It is a classic account with Vantage added on.

    How confusing.

You have to ring them on 0800 015 4000 to add the vantage now. Before you could add it online.

In addition to the new Club Lloyds account being launched on the 22nd March 2014, which will need a minimum of two direct debits and need to be funded with £1500.00 minimum per month.

A couple more bits of info, the account will carry a £5 monthly fee attached which will be waved if you fund it with the required £1500.00 per month.

You can also have your name on two accounts only, but still no news on the interest rate or the amount it will pay interest up-to.

It seems that Santander have changed the rules, and now only allow 1 account in a single account holder's name instead of the previous 2. From their website "One single or one joint 123 Current Account (or one of each) per person only."
It took a while to get my Nationwide account set up to handle the transfers, so I've missed the boat.

Any indication about what happens to those who already have 2?

New limits on numbers of accounts apply to all new applicants.

Seems it came into effect on 10/03/2014 according to the bottom of the account info page.

Also the info about having 2 has been pulled from the MSE Best Current Account page.

Fingers crossed it remains as was for those who already have two.

Ah well, at least it wasn't yesterday! I got the Nationwide account set up last week, so would have missed it anyway. It seems very unlikely that they'll force any closures.

Make the best of that new account - - perhaps switch is for a Halifax Reward, or a Coop account?

Sorry, am not sure I follow your meaning.
