I really don't mind spending about 30 minutes once a month to shuffle and achieve between 3 and 5% (5% soon to end
) rather than 1.55% or 1.65%.
But then I have plenty of time and I do like watching my spreadsheet update.
Perhaps I should get out more :rotfl:

It takes me about 2 minutes....No idea why people do this.

Depends how you're set up. All my accounts are with the same provider so I have to transfer money out before it can come back in. If I set up a standing order I'd have to send it back the next day to make sure they go in the right order. Lose a day's interest that way! :eek:0 -
Just a quickie on the 123 Santander account. I understand that two DDs must be set up on each account (plus the other qualifying features) but do the DDs have to be monthly DDs or can they be quarterly or annual?
Thanks0 -

Glad to learn from this thread that Paypal qualifies as a DD! I can see it listed under my DDs in my 1-2-3 account. So if I only purchase say 4 or 5 items on Ebay per annum and always pay with Paypal, that will keep me covered?0

Sorry duplicated my post in error, was just adding that I am thinking of opening second 1-2-3 account later this year when a savings bond matures.0

Yes
That's exactly what I did when I used PayPal DDs to qualify for 4% on Lloyds Vantage accounts some time ago.0 -
Thanks badger, good to know :-))0
