Not interested in opening all the current accounts mentioned on here with interest varying between 3 and 5 percent. 3 BOS @ £5000, 3 Lloyds @ £5000, 3 TSB @ £5000, all paying 3% and instant access. Nationwide flexdirect up to 4 accounts paying 5% on £2,500. Also the Santander 123 up to £20,000 paid 3% minus £2 charge."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Steve_xx the reason we have given some duplicate information was I was called away to accept a delivery before I pressed the submit reply button. They could also get their partner (if they have one to open all the same accounts)."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

You need to open two Santander 123 current accounts and stash 20k in each.
Then 3 LloydsTSB current accounts with Vantage added and stash 5k in each of them.
Then open 3 TSB current accounts with Enhance added and stash 5k in each of those.
How does it work having 3 current accounts? Can they all be linked to one online account? I already have one Lloyds Vantage account.0 -
They are all linked to one online account. You can open another 2."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

thanks. I spent 20 minutes on the phone to them earlier to see if they could offer me a better deal - they recommended the easysaver to me at 0.75%. I pointed out that the 1% esavings is better and she said that it was online only, so she didn't mention it. No mention of 3 Vantage accounts either.

Apply online for the Lloyds Classic Vantage you can apply while not logged in if you are not an online customer. You can then apply for internet banking on their site and they will send you your ID."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

It's been fascinating reading through this thread. I have a lump sum of around £150,000 to deal with, and the advice about splitting between different accounts is very interesting. But if I wanted to use just one account (and that with instant access) what is the best option currently available?0
