Is 3% really the best savings account on offer right now? I remember at the beginning of the year you could get like 6-8%.0

You can still get 6% in one Regular Saver. 5% in one current account, 3% in several current accounts. Many people have more savings than the 5 and 6% accounts can accommodate. Some are even maxing all the 3% ones as well.0

All TSB customers are now covered by the Lloyds TSB Scotland banking licence, which is separate from the main Lloyds Banking Group licence, which applies to Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland.
As I already have 3 Lloyds Classic Vantage, I would imagine I should be able to now open 3 TSB Classic Accounts with the upgrade to an Added Value Account as a new customer.

I see what you mean by done in, the application page on the Classic Account Enhance Apply link is not working, just says "SORRY This application is currently unavailable". Having said that if you use the APPLY Tab option on the top right hand side and use the link Apply for a Classic Account with Enhance it does take you through to the correct application page. On Friday I applied for a LloydsTSB Classic (with Vantage) account and today I got the debit card through (hopefully more paperwork will arrive soon).
On Monday evening I applied for a BOS Classic (with Vantage) account and just as I clicked "agreed terms and conditions" the website crashed. I tried again a little later that evening but was told I already had an application in progress.
Tuesday I spoke to an adviser who said he couldn't see the application as systems were not working correctly and to call back today (0800 056 0035) . I've just done so and was told my application had been cancelled (great!) and I'd need to leave a 30 day grace period if I wanted to apply online or he would pass me through to the relevant department now where I could apply via the phone. Got transferred and eventually got an adviser who said he was unable to hear me!
I'll try again at 8am tomorrow as the 08457 21 31 41 takes an age to get someone to pickup.0 -
