Skipton BS Member Bonus Saver Issue 1 now 5.5% (includes a fixed bonus of 1.7% for 12 months)
£1 min, £3k max
Available to existing Members who have held a continuous membership with Skipton BS starting on or before 11th January 2024
The APR is showing sans bonus (3.8%) online. Should I panic / raise an official complaint / do nothing because it's as expected?0 -
It is showing 5.5% for me on the app. Haven't tried onlineflaneurs_lobster said:

Am I missing something? Is this only going to make £9 max extra over a year compared to ... say Santander at 5.2%? I hope I have the maths wrong!Bridlington1 said:@soulsaver

No, your maths is fine🙂. I wouldn’t move money necessarily for that bit extra but I know some people are keen to do that. If you pay tax on savings it’s even less too!Bobblehat said:

You're assuming that your Santander will be paying 5.2% for the next 12 months.Bobblehat said:

Santander pay interest monthly for me, Skipton annual and I am fairly well maxed out on PSA so it's not just the £9 but also a tax implication if I can shift some interest into next tax year.2 -
I normally prefer monthly interest, but now trying to relocate my money to accounts that pay annually. This is the first financial year where my interest is going to exceed £6k allowance, so I'm trying to push some of it to the next financial year where I will be able to add another £20k to ISA. I'm nor a millionaire, so it makes sense for me to do... as well as en extra £9 from Skipton and other little extras from other accounts. It all adds up.pecunianonolet said:
