So about 3-5 months after downgrading my Edge current account, Santander have finally decided to downgrade my Edge saver. (with 2 months notice). Turns out they will actually bother to do it... eventually.
    why did you downgrade?
To not pay the £3 fee.

It might have been worth opening another, but not adding any direct debits to it this time. That would avoid commencement of the fee being charged.

Do they allow people to have a (NLA) 123 lite with DD and an EDGE without DD?

I kinda don't want to lose the 123 lite cashback

In my case it was Santander who advised me to downgrade because the bank charges were more than my cashback savings so I switched to the basic current account . I ve still been on the 7% Edge Saver but they informed me this week I will be downgraded at the end of November .That is when I will move the £4k  it to their 5.2 % saver

Thinking of opening ulster Bank loyalty saver 5.20%

    Single account.

I noticed it's got an app which I like nowadays when available.

Has anyone else got this account, and how do you find the app?
I applied for it this morning from their site - the account is provisionally opened (it said on the screen), but they will send me an email... they are also sending application forms (for ID I assume) through the post... I would hope as a NatWest customer it would be a formality, but have not received any emails yet.
no point installing the app until I get login details.
update - I received the email this morning...

You’re almost there – we just need some more information from you and then we can activate your new Ulster Bank account.

To get your account up and running as quickly as possible, we’ll confirm your identity using our security partner HooYu. This way, we can check you are you, while keeping your details completely secure.

    It’s quick, easy and safe.

either via website and/or phone, you upload photo ID (in my case passport) and do a "Liveness Check", which you need a webcam or phone to complete and is basically just put your face in this oval and move your eyes.

Each step with Ulster Bank seems ballsachingly slow. Beehive use the same process and my account was opened within 30 mins of the application being submitted. UB are still navel gazing....
