They certainly deduct the withdrawal amount on the day you submit it despite not receiving it until the next day whereas Coventry don't deduct it until the next day so I can only assume that with Beehive you lose a days interest.infoadict said:Do you lose a days interest on withdrawals from Beehive if you instruct before 4pm?Appears to me that they are treated the same as Coventry i.e you instruct on a working day, but the balance only reduces on the following day when the faster payment is made?Would be grateful for some insight from someone who uses this account. From their T&C's

Well I'd rather give Ulster a chance, and possibly get better service from a smaller banking outfit, than the dismal service I've heard about from them. ^ColdIron said:There's nothing about that account that would tempt me. Barclays premier is similar but at least you get cheap (and free) points with Avios Rewards"Ulster Bank" is a trading name of Natwest Group plc, so not that small. In the UK, Ulster Bank lists Natwest banks as being its branches, so good chance it will use the same call centres etc.Don't know what the "exclusive branded card" looks like. Can't be any naffer than the standard purple and yellow Natwest one, but I gather those silver and gold coloured cards thought to impress nubile air-hostesses are now considered a bit '70's. Never did work for me.0 -

Don't worry about it, if Mike had accumulated that much from bank switches he won't be doing so again for a good few yrs as he must have had em all!martinm1 said:
I think an EA switch for £104 is less than half the effort and less impact to your credit score. So for me EA switching is much better value for money.MikeJXE said:
LOL £2 a week and only if you don't switch again, wouldn't be worth the effort as far as I'm concernedBobblehat said:
An extra £104 approx for me over the next year, that's the difference between not switching and switching. Assuming I don't switch again, don't withdraw any money and that the old and new ISA's stay at the same rates they are at present. For me it was just worth it!MikeJXE said:
I rarely switch unless it's a big difference in % interest so I would be interested to know how much difference financially all this switching makes ?KevinG said:
Blimey, one of mine took a month! All that lost interest.S_uk said:Further to my earlier message about logging into Coventry, the issue seems to have been resolved.
Incidentally, I've now transferred my ISA twice in the last two weeks (the most recent one to Coventry) and in both cases the transfer completed the next day, so I'm pleased how quick the process now is. One reason why I'd only pick providers that use the electronic BACS service.
I don't switch my savings unless it's a good jump but I do switch current accounts for incentives

Investec Flexi Saver up to 4.7% AER (4.6% Gross). Another company who used to be competitive.2

Yes, I liked using it when it was competitive, but not at those rates. £5,000 min balance for the interest doesn't help either

So about 3-5 months after downgrading my Edge current account, Santander have finally decided to downgrade my Edge saver. (with 2 months notice). Turns out they will actually bother to do it... eventually.3
