And constant logging in and open/closing new accounts. May be acceptable to you in this day and age but can tell from their site they run on legacy systems.

do you have 2 mobiles then, or don't you use the authenticator app?

I just use 1 tablet. Instead of scanning the QR code you just tap it and it takes you straight to the authenticator app without requiring the camera.

I like Cynergy and ordinarily it would be my goto "instant" EA account - but their recent login issues and the Santander account meant that I moved a large chunk of its balance to Santander.

the opening/closure of new issues is pretty automated in the sense that it's just a couple of clicks - no big deal...

Would need the thingy for Cynergy. But no, don't use phone for such things at home let alone abroad. Take tablet with me but that's mainly used for radio and a bit of tv / sport via vpn.

Noticed too that current Charter issue 44 is 0.05% lower than earlier issue (which I have in this case). The earlier issue being 42 which is only 4.8% due to numerous complaints. Have also come home to their formal response which upholds my complaint but they seem to feel that eventually putting right their wrong after realising they couldn't get away with it is sufficient. Not much contrition there!
