    This screenshot should help.
If you're not living on the edge, you'll take up too much room.

I'm in an identical position, I also applied online, & received a confirmation notification a few hours before the deadline closed at midnight last week.
I believe I may have figured it out though. The Santander mobile banking app doesn't appear to show any interest rates, but when I logged in on the website, & clicked 'Easy Access Saver' on the 'My Accounts' section, it has 2 interest rate options:
It clearly displays an interest rate of 5.08% on the right hand side of the same page, (because when opening the account, I selected monthly, rather than annual interest)  - I believe the annual interest rate is around 5.25%.
Underneath that, (underlined in red) is a link to 'Find your interest rate' which seems to direct you to the current interest rate if you applied after the deadline. Maybe this is where you were getting confused? I sincerely hope that I'm right, & we're both receiving the higher rate.
The app shows the interest rate under the account balance and above the transactions, mine shows 5.08%.
The in red link on the web page is purely a link to a page showing all interest rates so you can look up interest rates that may apply to your account.

Would someone please do a check for me:
    Santander Edge Saver
    Interest credited 17/9 £14.01
    Balance 16/8 £400
    Balance 17/8 £1000
    Balance 1/9 £4000
I think I've been shortchanged - more than a few pence.
    TIA

@schiff - a quick, back of an envelope, sum gives me £14.46.

Apologies, I also get it to £14.01 - I was mis-remembering the 7% as gross, when worked out at 6.78% gross, it does indeed come to £14.01.

£13.99 (think I truncated rather than rounded)

I'm not normally in the habit of checking interest payments to the penny but for some reason I checked this!
Back to the normal routine then  :)
    Thanks all.

Gatehouse, Easy Access increases to 4.89% (think this works out as 5% AER).

What's the minimum balance on Gatehouse? Their KPI download mentions £1000 but the html web intro says £1

£1 - just checked my account, which has had £1 in it for the past few months, and the new rate is showing.

How rude of Cynergy! Returned from holiday last night with one of my tasks this morning to close and transfer Issue 65 to Issue 66 at 5.0% (yes, I'm sad enough to keep an eye on these things while away) only to find it's now Issue 67 at 4.95%. Hope this isn't indicative of a general reverse in the direction of travel. See what Thursday brings.
