Very happy with Santander at the moment, they are my main bank, kept by Select 123 account, opened up an Edge to get the Edge saver to put the 4k in there to get the 7%.

Leaving the Edge current account alone so not to be charged the monthly fee. Now opened the EA saver at 5.2% for the rest of my cash savings.

I wonder how much all the £1s left in dormant accounts add up to. Someone should do a study! And perhaps weave it into a remake of Superman III...

I have 12 dormant accounts and £500 in a NS&I direct saver ( really need to close this). So £511, I will donate if they do  a remake of The Dambusters..

Is there an advantage having £500 in the direct saver? I only have £1 in mine

@soulsaver you need to delete cynergy 4.8% from no 8 I think as well as it’s been replaced by the 5.0% at no 2

I had to log in and check, it’s actually a Income bond @ 3.65%  and a minimum £500 to keep open which I will now close thanks to your prompt.
