You can re-name each of the accounts to be something different and meaningful. I re-named one of mine "Current A/C - Closed" even 'though it wasn't officially closed.RedImp_2 said:
I’m closing mine to make sure I don’t select the wrong account when transferring from current account as they look similar on the face of it.mebu60 said:
One benefit of closing the Issue 1 is that the accrued interest is now earning 5.2% in the Issue 3 :-)Middle_of_the_Road said:I have the issue 1, and also the recent issue 3. I don't see any benefit in closing the previous issue. I'm just leaving it at zero balance and unused. As i've never had any issues with outward transactions being blocked from the account, I will probably use it to make withdrawals to my nominated account, rather than from the new issue. Also it serves as a record of all previous activity through the account, which is easier than having to search individual c/a pdf statements.
It took me less than a minute chatting with ‘Sandi’ to do it0 -
I've only ever been able to rename and reorder on the website. If anyone knows how to do it in the app, tips would be appreciated.chris_the_bee said:You can re-name each of the accounts to be something different and meaningful. Santander staff can't see your names for the accounts, which caused confusion on telephone banking.
Then, I opened a starling account, where the staff can only see your names, after a telephone conversation with them in a public place, I regretted some of my choices....0 -
I think it is the monthly anniversary of account funding, rather than account opening.cadguy77 said:
Tandem pay interest on the monthly anniversary of when the account was.opened, at least that's the case for me.allegro120 said:
You should get it on 9th of September. The interest is paid on the monthly anniversary of funding the account.sturgeon said:I thought tandem interest was meant to be paid yesterday. I can’t see anything as of today? Opened the account 9th august.
I opened mine at the end of July but didn't start funding until the 7th August. No interest received yet and I'm expecting it tomorrow.1 -

That function is only in the website, you can however if you don't want to see an old account in your app and online banking choose for it not to display by not putting an order number against the account.savethepandas said:

I have 2 old savings accounts with nil balances that are hidden from view in the app as I haven't put an order in them in online banking1 -
Just got confirmation of a 2nd Santander Easy Access a/c 5.2%. Not paid anything in yet. Forgotten why I did this as I wont be putting in > £250k into the first one. Brain fade. T&Cs say "only one"0

Can Mansfield branch/post -only accounts have their balances viewed online, after they have been opened by post, even if not operated online?0

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant, can I register for online banking after opening that account by post, and check my account balance online? I know I won't be able to make transactions online, but I just want to be able to view that my money is safe!cadguy77 said:
