Apologies if it's been asked before. But doesn't anyone know what date is the monthly interest option is paid on?2 -

Santander will eventually close accounts with 0 balance anyway.

Monthly saver gone already
If only someone could invent a system where you logon and send a message in a secure way so you are only attached to the device for about a minute.0 -

Like @ColdIron, I asked Sandi this morning to close my old esaver. I started with typing "close account" and had given the instruction in less than 30 seconds. The old esaver has vanished now, remaining balanc and 1p interest transferred to the new esaver. Not quite as good as closing a Halifax savings account IMO but excellent service.

Monthly saver gone alreadySurprisingly easyFirst it listed the accounts to close, the monthly saver (with £0 balance) wasn't on the list so I entered the account number, then my address and where I wanted the residual interest to goYou can only close 1 account at a time and once the MS was done I went through again for the easy access issue 1 which was on the list and just clicked the relevant options and was doneI don't usually like chatbots but this worked well0

I never bother closing old accounts. If they made it easy with a "close account" button I would.Ex Sg27 (long forgotten log in details)Massive thank you to those on the long since defunct Matched Betting board.1

So is the 5.08% okay and will still work out as 5.20% over the course of a year?0
