I've an iPhone 12 mini and have never had an issue with the Chase app; it's fast and works perfectly for me every time. I only use the savings account, as a "pooling" account from which a few direct debits and standing orders get paid.

I also find the Chase app fairly buggy/glitchy/slow. To be fair I've now got quite an old Android but the app isn't as good as some similar products (Starling, for example). It is, however, still an excellent product in terms of rates etc.
Well they have today increased their savings rate so that it's only 0.9% behind the competition!

I'm mainly there for the current account - cashback, perfect for abroad, and the roundup (though to be fair the 5% on the roundup is now a lot less attractive). Having a linked, instant access, decent-but-not-great-rate saver is useful but not game changing.

Slow on Android for me too. First time I open it, the loading spinner comes up and keeps spinning. I have to close the app and re-open it to get it to work properly.

Not sure what the competition is?  What other savings accounts allow you to set up Direct Debits (as well as Standing Orders and multiple future dated scheduled payments).  The Chase Savings account offers many of the features of a Current Account.  You only need the current account for Debit Card transactions, cash withdrawals, and the 1% cashback.

ETA their competition is probably Kroo which is paying 4.35% on the current account, but no cashback.

OK, point taken that it is not comparing like with like, but we are talking about their savings account, not their current account, so the competition is other instant access savings accounts. Chase doesn't really need to provide these options on the savings account when they are available on the current account.

Yeh I have the exact same issue. I would consider using it as a main account but this issue is a big reason not too until they fix it. 2022 released phone and as of a few weeks ago Android 13 and the app runs awful.

Anyone else sign up to Tandem and doesn't have the button to add the top up rate?
