They wouldn't need 30 days notice to stop offering the 0.35% top-up rate (or reduce the amount) for anyone who hasn't applied it yet.martinm1 said:
Tandem have to give 30 days notice to reduce the rate. The're still not open though! I wonder if they are unable to cope with all the funds they now have!jaypers said:
Can’t see anything changing. They are still advertising 5% and I suspect the weekend was for some sort of maintenance following what I am sure were a lot of new accounts.Burcot said:Waiting to see what happens at Tandem. If they will hold or reduce their rate?1 -
Just opened the Tandem account and initial deposit in within 10 minutes.martinm1 said:

I would say they're very unlikely to tempt in so many new customers with the highest easy access rate available and then reduce it immediately - that would really not look good.martinm1 said:

I would guess they paused temporarily to process the backlog of any accounts that required manual intervention (eg. failed ID checks) and also possibly take stock of just how much money they actually need. While it's fairly uncommon for the popular easy access accounts to be withdrawn completely to new customers, it can sometimes happen when banks get to the number one spot and are overwhelmed or they reach their funding targets.0 -
Tandem pause no longer in place so I guess that puts them in top spot again.1

It gets stuck for me regularly - spinning ball of death on iPhone. So I never know if it’s done what I ask or not. Have to put phone to sleep then wake and get into Chase again to check. I did raise it with them but they just said it needs the latest version of App. The first time they said that was on the day I downloaded it, so I certainly wasn’t running an old version.pfpf said:

I also find the Chase app fairly buggy/glitchy/slow. To be fair I've now got quite an old Android but the app isn't as good as some similar products (Starling, for example). It is, however, still an excellent product in terms of rates etc.0
