So many NBS accounts opened and about 30 pages of posts about them only to get beaten by Shawbrook

And then probably Tandem and therefore Chip.0 -

The biggest advantage of the NBS account wasn't because it wasn't going to be (slightly) overtaken in the initial weeks that followed.Zaul22 said:So many NBS accounts opened and about 30 pages of posts about them only to get beaten by Shawbrook

https://chartersavingsbank.co.uk/Products/EasyAccessYes unattractive for many. Irritatingly and typically of Charter Savings Issues 30 - 39 all with updated rates below the new Issue 40 at 4%. I can only think that this is trying to catch out savers of Issues 30-39 who, seeing their email with their hyped increase, will perhaps not know that a new 4% issue is available if they were to check. I suppose that is their chosen 'business model' but perhaps some might say it smacks of sharp practice.0 -
Just got an email. I wonder if it actually relates to one of the deposits I did last week and it just takes a few days for them to send the email? There is no amount on it so unable to ascertain which it relates to. So another two may come in the coming days when they process my next two deposits? Rather defeats the object of the confirmation though as I’m not going to wait days, I’m going to be online checking my balance much quicker than that.S_uk said:OK that's interesting. Deposits I had previously made were both big and small.
The wording at the start of the email is:
Dear X
Just a quick message to let you know that we have received your deposit and credited it to your account.
