I haven’t had a Shawbrook EA account long but last two rate rises they applied automatically.  Not sure on what grounds they choose.  If I wasn’t a viewer of this forum wouldn’t know higher rate was available.

So many NBS accounts opened and about 30 pages of posts about them only to get beaten by Shawbrook  :D
And then probably Tandem and therefore Chip.
When the BoE raises again, NBS tracker will go up the full amount.
Will the three mentioned above do the same?
Shawbrook`s the only one that`s gone slightly ahead anyway.

My £1 in the latest issue gets to stay at 3.65% while some of the older issues are slightly higher. All pathetically below market leaders.

I was expecting better rates from Kent Reliance seeing as they’re one of the last to update rates. That’s me moving to Shawbrook…

Every time I see something new with a higher rate on here it turns out to have a catch - £500 minimum transaction, £1000 minimum in the account, needs ID documents, limits how many times you can take money out in a year, requires you to sacrifice your second born child under a blood red moon…

Nope - I see nothing to tempt me away from the perfectly decent 4.26% and 4.25% of Chip and Ford. Tandem, Zopa, please?

I'm glad I opened the Newcastle account now as there were none of these catches (I know some have had to provide ID but I didn't). I'm glad I can also do same working day withdrawals as it wasn't clear at first whether you could, which for me is a big advantage over shawbrook.

Yes, it does seem to have been a good prospect. Sadly I was too ill to take advantage before it closed. Maybe they’ll be back with an even better offer?

Possibly. Ford is decent too but I only hold a pound in it now. I noticed Ford's time to withdraw by for same working day clearing is slightly earlier than Newcastle (1pm vs 4pm).

Finally got my authentication code today and made a small withdrawal at 1-30 pm, checked later and it had arrived into nominated account.
Cut off time for same working day,I believe is 4 pm.

The other point about receiving emails to say your payment has been received, I`ve never had one and have made four deposits since opening.
