Yes but you need high salary/savings/investments with VM to get the private current account first (£25/m): https://uk.virginmoney.com/private/Fatherjacob said:
Is this an easy access ? if so it should be the go to for most people .Futuristic said:For those big savings (£85k or more) could just go with Virgin money private which has -0.25% below base rate with £25/m fee still would end up with more then NBS. https://uk.virginmoney.com/private/savings/private-savings-account/
Im considering the fixed term option for my savings ,but still cant bring myself to tying up large sums for 1 year.
If this Virgin account is correct ,im all over it

Any extras for the £25 a month?crumpet_man said:
You need a virgin money private banking account which has a £25 per month fee. Then you need more than approx £56k in the savings account to outweigh the monthly fee.Fatherjacob said:

Just to clarify - do you mean the account number given when you applied (Which was a temporary number for initial funding for single use)? Or the 'real' account number given when you had later accessed the account online?Aidanmc said:My first deposit to Newcastle BS tracker acc arrived in about 15mins. Apparently for the virgin money to work ,you not only need £25 paid pcm , you also need £100000 of investable assests ..cash?
income of £75000 is also an option ,or joint income of £1000000 -
My second £1 deposit (using account number, for initial one I used reference) has just arrived. I made the transfer from Nationwide at 1345hrs, so about two and a half hours.Aidanmc said:My first deposit to Newcastle BS tracker acc arrived in about 15mins. For those who recently applied for the Monmouthshire BS Limited Access Saver at the now uncompetitive rate at 4% if you haven't already it may be worth applying for one of their Easy Savers. This is because for both accounts you will need to send them an online signatory form in a prepaid envelope they will send you. The forms for both accounts can be sent to them quite happily in the same envelope leaving you with a spare prepaid envelope in case they launch another branch/post opening account that's competitive in the future. Just a thought for those wishing to cut down on their future postage costs.2

At what time was your first deposit sent? It may be that they'll have a cutoff time of say 2pm.Aidanmc said:My first deposit to Newcastle BS tracker acc arrived in about 15mins. Just arrived, so the timescales are quite random and patience required!0 -
I reckon they must do it in batches.Aidanmc said:Steve_xx said:
