For those big savings (£85k or more) could just go with Virgin money private which has -0.25% below base rate with £25/m fee still would end up with more then NBS. https://uk.virginmoney.com/private/savings/private-savings-account/

As it's only 5% for 12 months, and 12 months has passed, the answer would be YESSJMALBA said:I opened my Nationwide FlexDirect account 28.6.22 - is today the day that the 5% drops to 0.25%, so time to empty?1 -
The rates constantly changing opened 2 accounts yesterday Chip and tandem paying 4.21% and 4.1%. can’t be bothered to open another account with Newcastle BS to get 4.3%. just sent back the source of wealth requirements for Chip today. How do people keep up wih the constant change. Was previously using Santander esaver offering 3.2%

Once you have opened a range of easy-access savings accounts and kept unused ones open with a £1 holding deposit in each, hopping from one account to another becomes so much easier.london21 said:The rates constantly changing opened 2 accounts yesterday Chip and tandem paying 4.21% and 4.1%. can’t be bothered to open another account to get 4.3%. just sent back the source of wealth requirements for Chip today. You need a virgin money private banking account which has a £25 per month fee. Then you need more than approx £56k in the savings account to outweigh the monthly fee.Fatherjacob said:

At what time was your first deposit sent? It may be that they'll have a cutoff time of say 2pm.Aidanmc said:My first deposit to Newcastle BS tracker acc arrived in about 15mins. I made a second deposit and still not showing 4hrs later. Both deposits using account number as the reference0 -
Yes but you need high salary/savings/investments with VM to get the private current account first (£25/m): https://uk.virginmoney.com/private/Fatherjacob said:
