I won’t touch Kroo. Just don’t feel comfortable about them, especially with all of the reported technical issues.Just not convinced that they are set up for high demand.0

For anyone considering opening an account with Kroo, Top Cashback are still offering £20.
Personally, I have had no problems with Kroo, and will be moving money from Chase to Kroo on 1 April unless Chase raise their rates.

No problems with Kroo whatsoever here.0

Could be one of those luck of the draw things.Nick_C said:For anyone considering opening an account with Kroo, Top Cashback are still offering £20.

I took to Monzo and Wise like duck to water.
Whereas, revolut and starling was a nightmare and I've not even considered them ever since the bad experiences few years ago. Maybe the leopard does change their spots when it comes to banks and fintechs.
Revolut would take some convincing. I.e. I'd have to see some really sterling reviews.
Apologies for all the animal references.0 -
Exactly the same here. The only trouble I had was not able to withdraw directly to small banks (Tandem, Zopa etc.), so I had to do it via mainstream banks that are on their list.flaneurs_lobster said:
Opened Kroo account in less than an hour the day after they announced their 3% current account. Card arrived 2 days later. Since then I've put 5-figure sums in and out, longest delay was less than an hour.Band7 said:
Been trying to close my Kroo account since Feb 2. They are incapable of doing that. They put a block on outgoing payments and my card but they won’t pay me my outstanding interest. Their CS is hopeless.AmityNeon said:Kroo will be increasing their current account interest rate to 3.33% from 1st April, according to the becleverwithyourcash newsletter today, also reported by Daily Express.
(Kroo hasn’t managed to resolve their growing pains, judging by their twitter replies. People seem to be waiting weeks for account opening and in-app support responses, and their tendency to potentially hold incoming payments probably persists.)
I've had no cause to trouble their CS.
Just saying.0 -
I tried to close my Kroo account at a similar time - finally got it closed at the end of Feb... I didn't really have any problems paying/withdrawing small amounts, but the app was laggy, buggy and ultimately I simply couldn't download any statements from the app... to use it as a current account, that made it unworkable; to use it as a savings account was unnecessary as by then there were better paying options.Band7 said:

I wouldn't go back even if they topped the instant access league, and I am usually the first who jumps on higher rates. As you say, there are better paying options, anyway.janusdesign said:

I envy you for having managed to close your account! One of these days, I will succeed myself as well, no doubt.0 -
Are there any savings accounts where you can schedule multiple future payments to the same destination account?
I know a few accounts where you can future date ONE transaction at a time, or of course high interest current accounts, but I'm only interested in a savings account with a decent rate of interest which can do this - if any exist.0 -
Chase certainly does. You can set up multiple scheduled payments to the same payee. You can also set up Standing Orders from the savings account. But you need to open a Chase Current Account to get the Savings Account.gwapenut said:Are there any savings accounts where you can schedule multiple future payments to the same destination account?

ETA - just tested and Kroo also allows this. (Although Kroo is a current account).1 -
Thanks, but I'm not interested in a new current account at the moment (which i believe I would need to access the chase saver). I don't really want the soft credit search as my employment status is in flux.
