App & website based?
Easy to sign up or a bit faffy?
Is the interest paid monthly?
Cheers!i've only ever used them for fixed and notice accounts... got a feeling I opened the fixed account with a £1 online deposit (showed same day) and a cheque for the rest; the notice account was setup pretty much immediately.they're website based, but have an app - you don't need the app to login to the website, and it's rather limited anyway as I think there are things you can only do on the website that you cannot do on the app.interest is paid monthly on the first of the month.withdrawals are next day (or 2 days if over a weekend / bank holiday), so I definitely wouldn't treat it as an instant access account.note that the site says that it is a limited edition and will likely be pulled in a few days...0 -

Well, account duly opened, so that's that done!! (Chicken Korma was lovely BTW)
No point sending a small amount first then. I'll just send the full £1000+ tomorrow.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -

when i opened mine I only put about £50 to begin with and so they set the account at 0.05% interest
then when I put an extra grand in it went up to the full rate
you don’t need to put in £1000 to begin with1 -
Hi I know it's a good thing to spread your money about to be on the safe side. £85k
Anyway is there many here that sticks more than 85k in an account.

Yes but only with one of the big banks
i wouldn’t risk it with a smaller institution
I think with NS&I you can put in as much as you like though, and it’s all safe3 -
Been busy since the rate rise, came here to see who has raised. It seems nobody. Let's get this straight - we have a bank rate of 4% and BS and banks are still paying 3% and that is seen as good?
