If you don't have a lump sum, and are therefore funding both in the same way e.g. adding £1k/month, then they are effectively the same thing, except one pays 5% and the other 'just' 3%.

CBS FHS, with £1k deposited on the 1st of each month, after 12 months, gives £323 in interest, according to MSE's Regular Savings Calculator

    Nonsense     it actually gives £194.
    This is what I got:

You're correct I used the wrong rate. Apologies
Anyway, ballpark figure as I mentioned in my earlier post.

  • Al Rayan's looking as though they're in danger now. If Skipton's tracker account is still available a fortnight after the next BOE base rate they will jump to at least 2.85% if not 3.1%, thus ending Al Rayan's stint of many months of being in the top 10 EA accounts.
  • Whatever happened to Tesco bank? They're stuck on a mere 2.51%, even Halifax has managed to beat that.

Am I correct in saying that the Zopa easy access account has the highest unrestricted interest rate at 2.86% AER / 2.82% gross?

I am excluding Aldermore, Shawbrook, Monmouth, Sainsbury's, Cynergy, Yorkshire BS and Chip as each has some sort of restriction along with the Virgin Money 3.00% ISA.
