Other people just answer replying yes/no rather than reply giving all four codes that you had left.
The reason I asked how many codes you had left was I could have got someone else to claim a couple of your codes and maybe if you were up for it done similar deal as I did with someone else, claim 4 codes get given 1 of the 50.00 Vouchers ( split of voucher I would have sorted with other person)
I didnt send you a PM asking you to reply with your codes, I didnt even say how many codes I was after.
No you didn't ask me to give you the codes, however you were so late in the day and on the day that I thought I was being helpful in doing so, but your still avoiding why you didn't spell out your deal in your first PM, nor what you might do with it as regards offering to friends.
That's not how I do business.0 -

I needed to ascertain firstly whether you had any codes left and secondly whether you had enough left to do a possible voucher deal - with me involving someone else if you didnt want to entertain giving 10.00 a code. ( I had already sounded someone out in principle about 2+2 codes used get 1x 50.00 Voucher and split it)
You replied with 4 codes, at no time within the PM did I ask for/mention 4 codes. ( Your post said 6 codes available)
If you said No/You did say No --didnt/doesnt matter, switches we have done getting claimed anyway.
You subsequently edited your post saying codes not available due to someone asking for cash for codes.
There isnt a shortage of codes, there are more codes than people needing them.0 -

Really, that's no expanation, all you had to do was ask whether I had any and outline your proposed "deal". Just a few words.
In my view you should stop digging yourself deeper. You do realise I deliberately didn't name you in my original post ...0 -

You posted saying you had 6, turned out you had 4, there was no point me outlining potential deal I had in my mind until I had the information as to how many codes ( if any) you had left.
Possibilty you might have taken the 10.00 a code suggestion being as others have said they would have done so, or given an alternative suggestion like someone else dialogued to me.
I named myself (and apologised) (and re-quoted the apology) :cool:0 -

If you want to do a deal, just say upfront. You don't have to check one thing in the first PM, then the other in a second PM. Some people will send codes, and if that truly isn't your intention then you should have no problem being upfront about it to avoid issues like this.
Yes I could have sent a PM asking if interested in giving 10.00 each for 2 codes to be used ( I only had 2 switches to be claimed) whether or not their was still 2 codes left, that was preferred option the deal involving someone else claiming 2 codes was a possibility depending on response from person who had the codes.
Being as the post on other related thread has been edited saying "due to someone asking for cash" ..... clearly the outcome/fallout would have been the same whatever approach had been made.0 -
Given the issue I have with it is about not being upfront in the first PM, I do rather struggle to see how the outcome/fallout would clearly have been the same.0

Post edit on other related thread states objection at being asked for cash to use codes, thus fallout/outcome would have been the same whatever approach had been used in the PM

In any case, my response forms part of the "outcome/fallout", therefore it would not have been the same.0 -
On behalf of all MSEr's can I please ask this discussion to cease?
All sides have presented their arguments in great detail now.
The offer period is over, in any case
Or "take it outside, lads"0
