If people don’t want to get stuff from Amazon, why not just sell the gift cards? Yes you won’t get full face value, but you’ll lose at most 10% and use the cash wherever you want.0

Good idea!
Now that Zeek is gone, can MSEr's say where's best to sell?
I checked cardyard.co.uk which sells amazon for a 10% discount, and 5.5% if you buy other giftcards from its website.
ebay has high selling costs...
any others/better?0 -
I would not sell £50 Amazon codes on eBay, far too easy to get scammed.
Selling to friends or on a trusted forum would be my choice if I had to sell.0 -
especially with the fact that there is precious little time left for them to be used and will almost certainly go unused which will make the person left with the codes out of pocket, even if the net gain would have been less than the codes viewed worth.I responded to a PM simply asking if I had any codes left, being conscious of the time constraints I replied with the codes we had left, too trusting or naive maybe. It was a second PM that then asked for a tenner each to use them.
So, in a way, your codes were taken for hostages and you forfeited them?0 -

I would be very cautious selling unless you know them/there is seller protection - we lost £170 selling a giftcard through Zeek, as the sale went through and days later they went bust and all funds in account were seized.

Thank you - though it does beg the question, as it says 18th June, and that is not being interpreted as 23.59 on 17th June, any time up to 23.59 on 18th is still within their stated terms so some people may be left disappointed.
Also some claims are having to be re-submitted, need claim form available to do that due to neither party receiving vouchers, e.g last batch, switches all completed on same day, same referrer, claims were spaced out 1 hr + apart only 3/4 received by both parties, I dont open switch completion email until I am making the claim thus no possibility of not having made a claim.
Actual answer I received was intention is for claim form to be available until at least 5pm on 18th.
Alternative to someone paying monetary incentive for codes to be used, countersuggestion made in this instance was for me to get 1 of the 50.00 Amazon vouchers as a Thank You Present/Gift for claiming 4 codes for someone which might not otherwise have been claimed/values realised.0 -

So a 25% charge ... The alternative/counter suggestion was simply accepting the words "thank you" like many others have done - I have helped lots of people with this promotion and I am up £50 for each code they kindly gave me to use, without which I would have nothing. In doing so, I have managed to help them too - Win/win. You and some others on here clearly have a different perspective.0 -

In the past I've accepted referrals from individuals who were practically making a business of it and earning thousands of pounds. Accepting a referral split in such circumstances seems fair in my view, and no different than accepting a share of the referral money obtained by professional sites like Quidco and Topcashback.0 -

Was the other person that made the countersuggestion which I accepted.
To give a bit of balance on this topic I should add that when boot is on other foot so to speak I am also happy to give a cut/share when people use my R links for other company RAF promotions.:)
I have also done numerous Santander RAF code swaps with MSE members that enabled both parties to gain 100.00 per Bank Account switch in Amazon credit.:cool:0 -
Had I not had a bunch of current accounts to switch myself, and someone approached me offering to shift 5 of my referral codes for me in exchange for 1 of the 5 voucher codes I'd receive, I'd have bit their arm off. £200 worth of vouchers for zero effort on my side.0
