Santander Refer a Friend

We've done ours in 2 batches of 2 switches, without them batting an eyelid. In fact they seem very clued up to the fact that people are requesting multiple switches at the same time. Except on one of my calls I got the trainee (bless him) who mumbled and fumbled his way through his script...but the switches all went through OK.How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0

I've seen reported that Santander only allow 5 accounts open at a time.
I have 5 and tried to open the 6th and it was rejected.
The 4th & 5th were referred, but were opened after a phone call.Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0 -
You don't need more than 1 Santander account to make multiple switches. The only "advantage" of opening new accounts is that you can request the switch online, whilst you have to call them to request a switch into an existing account. As several people have already reported, and as I can confirm from my own experience, these calls are very quick and painless.I've seen reported that Santander only allow 5 accounts open at a time.

For those counting the days, we've just had referrers (not switchers yet) Amazon vouchers for claims submitted on 23 and 24th April
Edit: Now (this afternoon) had two more vouchers - again both as referrers, not switchers. One submitted on 9th May, one unknown date (as it was a code given to someone else to use).
Edit 2: Switcher vouchers now (late afternoon) arrived too0 -
I switched on the 26th April and the referrer has received their Amazon vouchers today at 10:49am. Still waiting for mine...0

both 18th and 19th April have come through for both of us (as referrers). our 1st ones so relieved as we're over 30 days for those 2.
nothing for either of us as the referred but I think I read earlier in the thread these can come later on same day?
our 3rd switch date was 25/4. I am trying to work out how I can use my OH's final 2 codes
thanks everyone.0 -
So, I have an account already, if I start a switch today can I still use a referral code supplied?0
-
why not? You need to complete the switch and submit your claim by June 18. Plenty of time to do this.wizzywig27 wrote: »So, I have an account already, if I start a switch today can I still use a referral code supplied?0
