Quick question:
Would switching basic bank accounts qualify for the incentive?0 -

See post No1.0 -
Do the t&cs say it's unacceptable.. ?
See post No1.
I’ve already read the terms previously, but sometimes some switching schemes don’t pay the incentive if it’s a basic bank account even if there’s nothing to exclude them from the terms based on past experiences.
Just wondering if it’s that case here or whether basic bank accounts are okay.0 -
Husband received 2 referee codes today for 11th and 15th April. From reading forum it would appear that people have received their vouchers up to the 18th April, anyone received any for later dates?
I've got outstanding claims from 30th April onward, so still plenty of time until the 30 days so not worried, just interested.0 -

Going to start the 4-off Tesco switches this week, staggered by a couple of days each, and if all goes OK that's £1,000 in total from this offer.
But...toying with the idea of closing down 3 Halifax Reward accounts each for a further £300 (since we'd have to use some of the good folk on here as we've each done our allocated 5 referrals) making £1,300 in total. The Reward accounts will have to go in August/September anyway, since one of our limitless source of DDs will be closed off (my YBS Offset Mortgage Savings Account will be pulled on mortgage redemption). I still have Egg Savings but I'm not messing around with goodness knows how many PO Savings Accounts to generate a few quid a month!0 -

Trust me. :cool::cool:
Before anyone asks: Egg Savings is no longer available to new applicants.0 -
One thing's for sure, Santander are going to be able to claim bigger market share of Current Accounts, after effectively sucking up all these dormant accounts. Even if a lot of them have 0 balances!!How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0

Late to this party - we have a joint Santander account and have received five referral codes each.
So if we switch five accounts each into our joint account will this work?
Has it worked for anyone else, thanks.0 -
Egg Savings is all you need.

Halifax reward account --Does two direct debits from same source count e.g post office savings weekly or does it have to be two different direct debits which is how I have always read the terms to be.0 -
