It's still just about Tuesday. My plan was:
This week's main events include:
- [STRIKE]cortisone injection later today, after zumba[/STRIKE]Not as painful as the last one I had. I'm not allowed to do exercise or much lifting for 2 weeks. Doc looking at scan didn't hold out much hope of avoiding surgery at some time in the future, but I'll cross that when I come to it. At present the shoulder doesn't feel bad at all. Night will tell, as that is when it usually hurts a lot.
- [STRIKE]2 reports to write up although 1 is half done[/STRIKE]Finished and emailed 1.
- dentist on Friday
- [STRIKE]assessment to do on Wed so paperwork to prepare
- don't think I have one to do on Wed but must double check[/STRIKE] Looks as if it is Thurs not Wed so another day to catch up and prepare.
- [STRIKE]various bank stuff to sort out[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]clothes to unpack, wash etc from weekend[/STRIKE]
- house and garden to fly round Showed man who is going to prune 3 large trees around; he's coming on Monday.
Took MIL to Asd£ and stocked up ourselves.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Today is a new day, as you can guess I didn't get anything done in the afternoon. Don't know why but came back from vet and sat down with coffee and that was about it, major cause of CBA set in.
Honey Bear good to hear of others who have had success with diet changes for diabetic cats, he is a stray we adopted and I won't let him suffer but daily injections would be torture for him let alone me. Vet was very nice and understanding (countryside vet) and took the view that whilst he was not suffering there was no problem and that when the time goes for him to go there will no doubt be other less fortunate kitties needing a home.
Man has been to measure up to quote for bathroom so that is the last one, once we get all the quotes back we can make a decision about who to use and more difficult what tiles etc we want.
I have to go to work this afternoon to do an evaluation but it won't take long. I have some leftovers for lunch and OH picked up supper stuff yesterday on his way home so no need to go to the shops.
I now have a start date for the garden work so looking forward to seeing the changes there. We are having most of our big leylandii hedges removed and the remaining one trimmed back, and a huge laurel is being removed which will give us a lot more space in the garden (as if it wasn't big enough already) but at least there won't be the big hedges to maintain, will just need to repaint one of the walls and hope the pointing isn't in too bad a state on the others or I could be repointing throughout the spring.
Hugs to all0 -
Morning all. Second load of washing spinning. I stripped and remade my bed and I've cleaned the bathroom/toilet. Shopping coming between 9 and 11. The sun is out at the moment so hopefully it will be a nice day.0

Between shifts and waiting for the radiator man to come back so I'd better get on with some flying.Spend less now, work less later.0

GS (number 5) has rung me with help and chatted (aged 3!) via whatsapp, it would seems he wanted to tell me he had been told off for emptying an anti bac spray on to the floor and into grand dad's computer!! I did ask a relevant adult who was ment to be looking after him, and how did he manage to get hold of such stuff..................... any way he then said hello to the cat and went off to play.

Topping up on coffee right now, as I didn't go to sleep early, despite all the garden hacking, and slept in (after the builders woke me up again).
I have taken the washing machine drawer apart and it's currently soaking in the sink in an attempt to get rid of the grot, the WM itself is running with a descaler pack and [strike]once I've cleaned the water off the floor where I forgot the drawer was in the sink and switched it on[/strike] I'm going to get an old toothbrush into the machine itself next.
BM on. Himself's loaf yesterday didn't mix properly for some reason - maybe he didn't put the pan in properly? - so another loaf is on the go.
Countertops swished over, including where he spilled soup and didn't clean it up straight away yesterday and, after doing the WM, I'm going to put some shoes on, take the grabby thing and litterpick out the front.
It's all looking very clean here - I'm going to ask him to do the inside of the bay window when he finally gets up.
Right, time to get my carcass into gear!I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Inside of machine drawer scrubbed and disinfected.
Dispenser scrubbed and replaced.
Gunk removed from the 'decorative' bits and around switches/dials with a cocktail stick (WHY do they make them like this?)
Edges of countertops, hob and sink cocktail-sticked.
Kitchen floor mopped with the help of the water from the WM.
Washing up load left for Himself now he's gracing us with his presence.
Front garden litterpicked. People are disgusting.
Woodbine hacked back a bit so we'll be able to get through the door in July.
Blinds up and windows cracked open. Idiot Cat currently sunning his rear end up there, looking all meditative about it.
Random stuff scooted off coffee table into the bin bag. Himself has a couple of bits of recycling and the bag to take out.
And I'm sitting down with a cuppa. That was a productive 45 minutes.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
ploughing through receipts and statements and updating and reconciling bank accounts.
