    Today I have
    - had my dental check: all fine :)
    - made 2 more appointments (not with the dentist!) for this week
    - stripped our bed
    - done WMx2
    - done QHI of pillowcases etc: ironing pile demolished :)
    - re-made bed
    - S&S'd kitchen
    - S&S'd en suite
    - FUPA washing from airer
    - cleared several more piles of papers in my RoD, shredded what needed shredding, binned what needed binning, and filed the rest
    - run a lubricator sheet through the shredder ;)
    - decluttered 2 hours' much-needed sleep after lunch
    - taken Rosie out for an hour: she ran circles round her collie friend :rotfl:
    - cooked and eaten lunch and evening meal
    - wrapped DGS3's birthday presents
    - updated my diary
    - chatted to DD for half an hour
    - discussed possible holidays with DH but not made any final decisions

My Toots frog is getting much closer to being eaten!
  • I am here. 8 hours paid stuff but I did manage to cook a meal, dust, hoover and mop. Catch you all tomorrow x

Another 9 days of putting pots and bowls underneath the boiler, 10 days until it's switched on and 21 before anybody comes to repair the damage from hoiking it all out and dismantling the units to do so.

    Woo-hoo.

However, I have completed a job application for a position I reckon I could do and be good at it, has job security, maintains employment and pension rights and will roughly treble my current salary. And completed 15 online training units I didn't know I had access to until I tried to download a bunch of previous certificates for completing the application from 3 separate providers and two separate jobs. They might be useful if I've managed to blag an interview by trawling back into my long term memory for jobs I did (and was pretty good at) back in my late teens and early twenties for the specific experience they ask for.

Fingers, toes and knees crossed, eh?

Running to catch up on everything after a great long weekend in Blackpool, including the long-awaited dance in the tower ballroom.
    This week's main events include:
    - cortisone injection later today, after zumba
    - 2 reports to write up although 1 is half done
    - dentist on Friday
    - assessment to do on Wed so paperwork to prepare
    - don't think I have one to do on Wed but must double check
    - various bank stuff to sort out
    - clothes to unpack, wash etc from weekend
    - house and garden to fly round

Haven't done more than skim thread, so hugs etc to all needing them
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Morning all. Glad you had fun in Blackpool Narco.

Yesterday I did what I'd intended, plus cleaned all dog stuff while they were out of the house. So steam cleaned the seats in the car, the sofas indoors and washed all the dogs bedding. Also did some other washing but still have two loads today.

The dogs have kept me awake most of the night but of course they are now snoozing.

Today I have to make enquiries about a summer break, get someone out to repair a leak in the bathroom (discovered water dripping into hall last night), pop out for a better car harness for Poppet (she wriggles out of her current one and climbs on the parcel shelf) and I want to catch up with the list esp yesterday's.

Also have an exercise class and a meeting tonight.

    Have a great day everyone.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • I'm in again today, not a great start to the day as boiler needed re presurring and re setting so we were a bit later than normal this morning as had to wait for water to heat. Luckily no early appointments.

I'm taking big white cat to the vet for a fasting blood test this morning (he is not impressed that the food dispenser seems to have been stolen overnight). They suspect diabetes so we'll see. He's a stray we adopted so can only estimate his age. We won't go down the route of daily injections as are often away at weekends and the cats here are very independant, but obviously don't want him to suffer pain so will probably just keep and eye on him and have to put up with him peeing.

    So far today
    Bed folded back
Windows been opened for 10 minutes but closed again now
    Lounge tidied
    Timesheets updated
    WM on
Dirty clothes off floor and in laundry basket

Hope to do more later, but now time for toast and coffee.

Hugs to all, don't forget to SMILE

Morning all. Washing doing and I will hang it out. Out with DD1 and DGD2 in a while.
  • Morning all, Wish here reporting for duty. We are heading home this morning. Should be home well before lunch time.

Not entirely sure on the jobs list as I don't really know what awaits at home post 10 day absence with decorators in. But, I can hazard a guess my list will be:

    Unpack car
Washing (estimate 3/4 loads) - hopefully will be able to get it pegged out to dry.
    Put living room back together
    Put dining room back together
    Unpack from being away
    Meal plan
    Write shopping list
    Go food shopping
    Cook a meal for tonight

I'll be back with an update later.
    Happy flying everyone

  • It's a beautiful day. Somewhat marred by the cacophony of scaffolders, water contractors and other such workmen all started their incredibly noisy work bang on 8am. The builders sitting on my wall eating their breakfast prior to that didn't help much, either.

It's now reasonably quiet - just the sound of drills and clanging and a different HGV thundering down the road going against the one way system/No entry signs (which could be interesting when somebody drives round the entirely blind bend to meet them).

I asked Himself if it's always like this - he said it isn't, so they've saved all this incredibly noisy stuff for half term. My one week of being able to sleep in. And they'll all be done for the day before 3pm.

    Ugh.

Kitchen still needs resorting. And the flush in the downstairs loo isn't working again - not sure if this is something to do with the builders, the water team across the road or a repair is needed to the cistern gubbins. But getting Himself to deal with it is like pulling teeth, as he claims he's filling in job applications again all today.

At least I'm not at work, I suppose.

Could potter around in the shower room, but I only did it last week - suppose I could clean the tiles nearest the loo, though.

  • Back from vet, cat has diabetese. Not going to inject him but going to try fancy food and see if that helps otherwise it's just TLC.

    A few phone calls made
    WM now in TD
    Banking updated

I need some lunch then might find something to watch whilst I iron.
