pottering in dining room. which doubles as office and RoD.
have shredded entire contents of tax credits file, given I no longer receive any payments and havent for some time.
have also had a MAJOR clear out of emails, including no-longer-used folders. 1000s gone.
Just having lunch then I'll carry on.

Ah I had crisps for lunch too. Not much flying done. Just basics. But now need to clean where the radiator has been removed.

I’ve had a busy morning and just stopped for lunch. And now I really want crisps!
I took advantage of no school and a non work day to take my cuppa back to bed and read a couple of chapters of my book.
    Since then I have:
Run wm x 2. Towels are on the line outside, 2nd load will follow shortly.
Put out recycling and brought the emptied bins back in.
Been to big town and filled the car with petrol, got some passport style photos done, picked up the weekly grocery shopping.
Come back and put said shopping away, although I still need to divide up some meat to go in the freezer.
Been up to the allotment and [STRIKE]dumped[/STRIKE] carefully spread 2 bags of mulch and brought back 2 bags of weeds for the green bin.
Now that DD is up and studying, I really ought to start tackling the list, although there is a family of paperwork frogs staring at me as well...
  • Opted for hacking into the jungle/weedpatch out the back, as the recent rain and now a couple of days of sunshine mean that, before long, the house will only be accessible to a handsome prince. Told himself this (and that I prefer him) and he mumbled something about how he'd far rather I described him as My Handsome Prince. Through laughter at the thought of him doing a Lord Farquaad complete with white stallion [strike]stumpy pony[/strike] and me wearing a floofy gown, I went and got tooled up for the assault.

Big thorny thing had the bits pointing outwards removed, but the ones going up left alone. Dangly thorny bits of rambling rose chopped where reachable. Other roses hacked to just above ground level. Raspberries chopped to just above ground level, as was the blackberry. Half barrel disintegrated as I moved it, so impromptu mini bed created on patio with some wood and a few stray plants shoved in as though it's actually intentional, rather than due to not wanting to spend any more time out in the mud.

Not too fussed if things sulk for a year, as at least they'll be more manageable this way - although, going by my previous record with growing things, as soon as I start being brutal with them, they respond by pulling out all the stops and surpassing previous years' growth. As long as I still have my rambling rose, my prickly bird feeding tree that has a female blackbird in there every day at present and was a vital source of food for birds all Autumn and winter and my Cherry Tree (which has loved the last year sat in the ground, rather than a pot), I'm happy.

Will need to get out the front for a litterpick, which I might do once I've put the kettle on, but if it's like this tomorrow, I'm going to go and waste some of our limited dosh on some plants. And grass seed, as a Goosegrass lawn isn't my idea of horticulture.

Boots have been stuffed with bin bags and left on the back doorstep. They were notcoming in, as the kitchen floor still looks pristine.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Yes it is, Dancemum, if that's what you wanted and no-one else was around to make you something more substantial. (((Hugs)))

Good luck with the job application, Jojo.

Sorry about the diagnosis of diabetes for the cat, Mademoiselle. I had an overweight old fella who had the same and he would have hated injections; a true scaredy cat - he was fine while I managed it with careful feeding times. Then one day he carefully climbed into his bedbox and pee'd having mistaken it for the litter tray, and I knew it was time. He was about 19, so he'd had as good a life as I could give him, plenty of TLC all through his life and with no bad days.

I've finished my To Do List from a fortnight ago, and have done 10 of this week's 19 things. I'm half way through another one, so I'm now beginning to catch up with myself. At last.
    Better is good enough.

I got the washing back in about 5 minutes before it rained and it was all dry. Put away as well. Feeling very tired although I don't seem to have done much.

TY for Fred.. I am flinging.. and painting.. and flinging some more.. and binning and on tip run number 3... so much stuff out of the house.. I am so fed up of the clutter and mess and having no room to move.

I have organised the million appointments.. I appear to have lost DS3's urology one.. I *think* it is thursday or friday next week so i do need to find it.. I can't think where else to look... ooh.. potato basket.. might be there.. (found it.. under my chair behind a box.. its not an appointment it is saying he is on the waiting list)

I've have cold all week.. snotting everywhere.. Twinkle is at it now.. its just gross.

We want to get the garden sorted too.. OH is being sent to the shed to build shelf units once the naughties are in bed.. the paint cupboard can then go in the next tip run!! We have grass seed to go down on Saturday.

I am now running down the shed freezer to put it back in the shed.. I really need OH to find some sense of urgency about this flinging thing and stop playing on his phone and procrastinating and standing in the way when I am flying about like a crazy person!

After an exceedingly rough day (don't ask!) I have succeeded in completing all that I can do with the item off my Toots list: I have sorted out and printed some nice photos of my DGC for a multi-frame for the LR. DS1 &Co are coming for tea tomorrow so I shall ask him nicely if he would put the picture hooks in the wall for me and hang it up. He will do it properly in 5 minutes - DH would still be messing about an hour after he started, if I asked him.

I have also sorted out the rubbish papers from our charity which has now closed down and condensed the remaining bits which need to be kept into two instead of 6 lever arch files. I am part way through shifting certain files from the study bedroom to the cupboard on the landing and vice versa, and sorting the toddlers' craft bits to see what I have room to store at church, which will save me carrying the same stuff forward and backward each time we meet. Unfortunately the study is still my RoD, even after days of moving stuff round :( One day, maybe...

I am giving up now and going to watch some mindless TV in the hope that I shall get a decent night's sleep if I wind down properly. I need to clean downstairs before I go out at 9.00 tomorrow - I expect to have neither time nor energy after lunch, in the hour or so before DGD1+2 descend on us!

(((Hugs))) to all in need, :T:T:T to all who are making major progress with decluttering, GWS to all poorlies
