Frog paperwork is done. Only took 45 minutes and I'm a day ahead of the deadline.
Having breakfast now.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all
Dancemum, I hope you can take things a bit easy this week - other people have shown that they can step up to the mark if needed, so let them carry on xx
Gentle, calming (((hugs))) to Lame Wolf. We're here for you whenever you need to offload xx
Thank you Natty and Valli for the lists. I didn't get much done last week except the essentials, but I'm hoping to do better this week. I still have a pile of paperwork to clear in the RoD aka study bedroom, but it is smaller than it was this time last week so I am rejoicing in progress.
I have plans for the garden but need to tidy up what is already there before I start adding more things. And I am planning on completing a couple of small jobs from my Toots list this week.
This morning I have a dental check-up at 10.00, so I will shift a bit more paper after breakfast and then fly in one fell swoop after seeing the dentist. I have a couple of phonecalls to make which will determine how much free time I have later in the week.
Will update later - DH has just called me down to breakfast.0 -
I'm still here though I'm fighting the urge to lurk rather than post. I've got some washing doing which I'm going to peg out and hope it doesn't rain until this afternoon and I've got a cake in the oven. Going shopping with DD2 when that's cooked, just to get out of the house for an hour or two.0

Thanks for lists Natty and Valli. I'm in this week.
I need to do our bathroom today, and my personal To Do list is a lot shorter at the start of this week than it was last week, but it all has to be done before I can say I have cleared my personal backlog. Working on those today and then I'll see where I am tomorrow morning.Better is good enough.0 -
Now I'm really confused (as is Himself)...
The plumber came and replaced a dripping tap. I reported that over a year ago and never heard anything more about it. It's a very nice, sturdy kitchen tap. But nobody told me it was happening - and it's pure fluke that everything was ready for him to replace it because we were expecting a boiler man.
And now we/I need to sort out the stuff that's been moved because there's no way I'm spending an indefinite period waiting in for a boiler man who hasn't actually been booked yet.
Ugh. I hate renting sometimes.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Back home after work.
Made phone calls this morning but not very successful. Dentist closed until next week and opthalmo not answering phone so guess they are on holiday too. Doctor booked and garden man to call me back.
Just as was checking recipe to make normal cupcakes for the man coming to quote for bathroom this afternoon (his wife is a good friend and just coming for the tea and cakes) another friend phoned to say they were bringing her too as she has been housebound for several weeks and is feeling fed up. Great news except for the fact she doesn't eat eggs or dairy. I am not the best cake cook and usually or rather always do basic Nigella Lawson cupcakes and add choc chips but thought I had better try so there is now an egg and dairy free batch of cup cakes in the oven. I'm not convinced but we'll see, tried licking the mixer when it was done and it wasn't as nice as traditional. There's crumble and icecream left over from the weekend for most of us if it's not nice!0 -
Bathroom demoulded
Bedroom ceiling and wall demoulded
When I have to stay at home the sunlight shows all the areas that have been neglected whilst I have been caring for everyone else. It have been a year in March that my Dad started his current run of hospital admissions.
DS2 has dysoned the living room and down the side of the fridge
He had been a bit slappy so my friend called by for a cuppa to make sure we were ok.
Towels washed0 -
Aw Dancemum - sounds like you've had a stressy time.
List (kitchen ) completed. Tomorrow's list (bathroom) completed. Washing brought in and ironed. WM ready with tomorrow's load (towels). Just had a snip (windows out of envelopes) and shred (contents of envelopes) session. And advised work colleague (who lives near work) on places to eat near the lecture/show she's going to on Friday.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
