ionafan scary, hope Mr I recovers quickly.
Struggling with a cold today but did give the en suite a good clean after my shower.
Dealt with a load of flagged emails.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Ionafan, hope DH recovers soon.
Round, glad you took advantage of read a book day.
I ended up reading the paper then putting a lining in an evening bag I've been knitting.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Hope MrIF recovers well, glad it was picked up and they finally took notice of you Iona. X
Ended up doing garage instead of shed and spend 3 hours gently cutting individual teezle plantlets from the lawn - it was completely infested with them. A friend who's a gardener said I had no choice but to try and cut each one out individually if I wanted to get rid of them. There seemed to be hundreds of the little blighters! Culled and bagged them, did some tidying in the garage, took a bag of garden waste round mils, got a box of scrap metal to put out on front, offered a couple of pieces to a friend of DH, he's coming for those tomorrow and sorted a charity bag full out as well as filling a bin bag. So not a bad result and only a few tears.SPC~12 ot 124

Morning
I was awake at 5.30 am - but refused to get up until 7. I am on holiday after allI've leisurely breakfasted and caught up with fb, cookie jam and the like
- it's Sunday, it's allowed
I feel hooman today - which is more than I did yesterday. And... as I've prepared breakfast etc a little voice has been saying 'that can go to cs', 'so can that', 'that can go', 'so can that'. I can feel more flingage coming on
First I'm going to get dressed. Then I'll bring down the electric typewriter that I've had since 198? and not used since 199? (it's sat on my bedroom floor - no I don't know why either). I found the electric cable / plug for it yesterday - under paper on the is-it-empty-or-not? box. Typewriter and cable will be handed over to DS's dad this morning for his next skip run. If he chooses to keep it in his garage as it 'may be worth something' he can. Somewhat like Elvis it is leaving the building! End of :T
Back soon

:hello: Morning MadamMim xx
Aww thank youTaking a day off yesterday was the right thing to do. It's quite difficult to know when to push myself and when to take time out. Jazee's read a book day was exactly the right prescription
Turns out the cable/plug does NOT belong to the typewriter! I suspect it's the cable which connects the video machine to the tv... but that is for another day. The typewriter has left the building. It's in the back yard waiting for DS's dad to take later this morning - not that he knows that yet
You remember that man who said that after 5 years dust doesn't get any worse? I think he lied. Just saying
Anyhoo - I've also: made my bed; loaded WM and set swishing; put out rubbish and recycling; fed the birds; and I have a bowl of pots soaking.
Anyone want to join me in HHC starting now?

Hope things are OK this morning Iona.
And R well done! You must really be starting to see the results of all this flingage now.
So. Out last night for birthdays with 5 other ladies of a similar age. One going through an unpleasant divorce, one facing redundancy, one with awful problems with her teen and another whose husband has cancer. Came away thinking that I have a lot to be thankful for, even if my own world feels a bit stressful at the moment.
No idea what the day holds, everyone else in bed asleep. Have checked my finances, ordered a birthday present and done a little tidying. Need to do a mealplan/plan for the week but that can wait.0 -
Ok, joining you R - will start in my office.
