Iiqama Quarters is run by {Edited by Forum team}.
My daughter called to say she's found a place in London to live to search for a job as she was about to live University. We met at the property and this girl called {Edited by Forum team} came in and sold us the most genuine product ever. so I paid the deposite plus one month's rent totalling £1800, signed the tenancy agreement and was given 2weeks to move in. On the day of moving in my daughter called and was told the property had already been let out by a different agency. I immediately requested my money back. That was 10weeks ago and all i get is email telling me gibbrish. I have decided to collate enough people in similar situation to contact BBC Watchdog to look into their affairs. Failling that i will report them to the Police for fraud.0 -

Surely you just sue the landlord for the money? That's who the contract is with0 -
Iiqama quarter finally refunded my money today after nearly 3 months
Great, you are lucky that the fraud agent returned you the money.
What action did you take?
6 months have passed and they haven't returned my money. They are unreachable by all means.
I will have to take them to court0 -
Why it doesn't seem legit to you?
All are genuine and victims of the fraud agent. Cant't you see that?
Well no I cant, that's my point.
Been here a while and you almost never see multiple new users sign up in short periods of time to post on a thread from 6 months ago.
As to your situation. I don't understand why you've waited 6 months. Just send the letter before action, follow up with a court claim. Job done.0 -

But you have to understand from a human angle irrespective of the contract.
The Landlord and Tenant are both victims of the Fraud agent.
How can the Landlord protect or refund the money when he hasn't received it from the Fraud agent?
It is the Fraud agent who needs to be punished.0 -

Because the landlord chose the agent?
That's not my problem as a tenant.
You're a landlord, so surely at this point you've terminated the contract, receive rent directly and given you were going to take legal action back in May, have now done so?0 -

Looks like the fraud agent started cheating people from February 2019 to both tenants & Landlords.. That's the reason you see multiple new users during that period.
Nobody waits doing nothing for such a long period, the procedure is on and I will update the outcome on this thread.
I am sure others may also have taken their own approach to resolve the matter.0 -

Small claims court doesn't take 6 months
will be happy to get an update. 0 -

Remember as you have chosen the agent to find a place for you similarly landlords would have chosen them to find a tenant. Both are equally placed and are victims.
I suggest you to get together with your Landlord to fight against the Rogue Agent.
Te procedure is on, I will definitely update. The rouge agents need to be punished.0
