Thanks misty. Yeah I seen them stray letters ha. I didn’t bother with signage as they have a few and well lit under lampposts. Only small signs tho which you would have to walk up to and read.0

But signage is one of the most important points you could possibly make. The signage (and its content) is the very contract that the PPC argue binds you to them once the vehicle has entered the site and parked.
'Having a few' and 'Well lit under lampposts' is only a small part of this equation.
As a minimum, you need to include the lengthy template on 'Signage' from the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #3. You also need to get your own photos of the signs (in the same light conditions as when the parking event took place - if in the hours of darkness, photos with no flash). You also need close ups so that the exact wording of the 'contract' can be easily read. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Hi guys I'm sorry but I've been so busy with work I forgot to put an appeal in to popla, I have now received my first debt collectors letter. Is it too late now to appeal to popla?. I went to the mc Donald's restaurant an spoke to the manager an she asked where the driver or had parked. I said against the back wall I believe an she told me its council owned and the whole car park is not owned by mc Donald's an her staff get off with it all the time.0

Should I just call ukpc an tell them to drop the charge due to non pofa and mc Donald's not being the land owner or I'll just see them in court.0

Hahahaha!!Should I just call ukpc
What, PHONE a scumbag ex-clamper firm and expect to have a normal conversation with someone who you think is in 'customer service'?
No. NEVER EVER EVER phone a PPC, nor a debt collector. There is no customer service.
Yes. You have no choice, probably.I'll just see them in court.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

But all you needed to have done was attach your draft above as a pdf to the POPLA appeals portal, especially if UKPC were non compliant with PoFA, and this would have been a slam dunk win for you, job done, all finished. A 10-minute transaction.Hi guys I'm sorry but I've been so busy with work I forgot to put an appeal in to popla,
Now you have 6 years of uncertainty as to what UKPC’s next move will be. Probably (ignorable) debt collector letters to start, then the strong possibility of a court claim. They could drag this out until 2025.
If you get a court claim, your workload to defend that will increase well beyond the effort you needed to appeal to POPLA. Fail to defend and you’re potentially in for a judgment in default that could lead to a trashing of your credit rating with serious repercussions for you for a further 6 years. Meaning that, in extremis, you might not be shot of this for almost 12 years - 2031.

No one here would tell you to pay them unless a Judge tells you to do so. The ‘slap on the wrist’ is another matter .......

Wait to see what UKPC do. If it’s debt collector letters just file them but ignore them, do not respond. If it’s a Letter of Claim or real court papers come back on this thread. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
