It's clouded over here and is decidedly colder than earlier. NOT what the weather man said when I checked yesterday. I do hope it doesn't rain - I have a full line of washing out there
The Stig outfit came out of the WM looking like new - and still together (it was hand wash only). It, too, is blowing on the line.
Lunch is cooking in the oven and heating is on with DS's work clothes for tomorrow airing on the radiators.
Reading sounds like a good idea Jazee

Hundred loads of washing and tumbling. Helped by DH
2 dehumidifiers refilled.
Mould spotted in walk in wardrobe (will have to wait until I’m better)
Text sister to get her to do dancegran’s meds
DH has sorted the airing cupboard0 -
Lunch has been eaten
I'm going to fetch that washing in. Weather forecast said no rain - but I don't think anyone told the weather!!!

Spent at least two hours in the garden working on the border. I have used a fork and dug and pulled out loads and loads of couch grass - found loads. I have really neglected my garden for a couple of years - firstly due to time - I had other priorities in 2016 and then a severe case of CBA.
Had hung the washing first. Oh - and made orange jelly marmalade.
It looks loads better and any more couch that rears its head should be more easily removed.
Four huge brown pupae returned to soil - I'm hoping they're moth and not crane fly though I rather suspect they're too big to be crane fly.

I spent a couple of hours at the allotment this morning for the first time since I can’t remember when. I’ve cooked and bagged up some leeks and purple sprouting for the freezer. The back garden was on my list for this afternoon but it went cold, breezy and cloudy so I’ve done pretty much nothing instead.
Must get in the line of washing and then do some sort of meal plan for the coming week. DH is out for a couple of nights and DD is not back until tomorrow so I can foresee a couple of cba nights on the cooking front.0 -

Yesterday, in Himself's absence, I decided that, as he'd thoughtfully left me all the cleaning again - including the hob, washing up and washing - I'd get on with it rather than get annoyed.
Two radiators cleaned [strike]probably for the first time in years[/strike].
Skirting boards along main wall, landing and kitchen cleaned [strike]probably for the first time[/strike]
All appliances cleaned.
Bedroom vacuumed.
Banisters cleaned for the first time in a couple of years.
Arachnid candyfloss vacuumed from ceilings.
Went to bed, but didn't go to sleep, so was awake for each of his post midnight updates on travelling back. Went to sleep after the 4.30 'I'm waiting until 5.05 for the train'. Didn't wake up when he got back, but was woken up by a somewhat tipsy !!!!!! at 6am climbing into bed & being far too affectionate for that time in the morning. He was eventually told to go to sleep and if it's that urgent, he can come and pester me in the kitchen when he woke up. He grinned and simultaneously zonked out. And didn't do anything of the sort once he'd had his sleep, although he has been wafting around looking slightly fragile since 2pm.
Back door washed.
Cupboard under sink emptied and cleaned.
Random furniture moved to shower room in hope of the boiler man coming tomorrow.
Cat food cupboard emptied in hope of the boiler man coming tomorrow.
Stairs vacuumed.
Downstairs vacuumed.
Table moved and entire kitchen floor scrubbed with sugar soap on my hands and knees [strike]for the first time ever[/strike]. Turns out that the fake grouting round the fake tiles is actually pale grey, not an evil brown. Who'd'a thunkit?
Flea treatment and worming tablets prescribed for cats found and dispensed. Neither were impressed.
Idiot Cat then decided to try and clean himself, so has been drooling, whingeing and refusing to purr in an attempt to make me think I've poisoned him to death. Put cat food down and he's rapidly getting over himself. Git.
Depending upon whether tomorrow's visit is the boiler man or some pointless random visit to doublecheck that it is a boiler and it is still constantly leaking, I might take myself and the quilt off to the launderette to boil wash it.
Himself has been delegated the remaining washing up of random articles, making dinner, clearing it ALL away afterwards and fetching a huge, commercial box of soap powder that's on sale round the corner for twelve quid. Even with the usual brand on special at the moment, we'd still be getting 25% as much again, so we'll just have to shift the freezer along to accommodate the massive box.
Other plans this week include
Cleaning the inside of the windows.
Litterpicking the front garden because some of the parents on the way to and from the primary school are utter scum. One changed a nappy the other day - I know this because they left the used wipes on top of the bin they dumped the offending package in. The rest merely content themselves with fruit shoots, frubes, chocolates and cartons of juice dumped over the wall.
Getting Himself to take the lampshades down for cleaning.
Cleaning the dressing table now it's been decluttered.
Cleaning the bedframe, as it feels polishbound.
Possibly sorting out more of my clothes.
At a rough estimate, I have approximately one and a half weeks before the steroid injection is mostly worn off, so I need to get as much done now as possible before I can't move again. And then maybe Himself will be able to handle keeping on top of it.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

*SIGH* I probably just need a damn good slap.
Umm.. nooo, you need to give yourself a break.. LW you have a lot going on for you in all ways. May I ask when the last time your Vitamin D and B12 was checked? A drop in either can result in fatigue, low mood, forgetfulness (fog brain) I know getting a drs appointment is often like finding hens teeth yet it might be worth asking? Forgive me if it’s something you already have covered..
I shall send a hug from afar and hope that you find a sliver or light to brighten your day."There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇0
